Roe V. Wade's Argument For The Legalization Of Abortion
Submitted By Words 111 Pages 1
Abortion should be legal because women have the moral right and freedom to choose and decide what to do with their own bodies. Even in the abortion debate, a mother should be regarded as a person and not just as the holder of the fetus. Therefore, one should give consideration to her rights in addition to those of her unborn child. As mentioned above, the United States Supreme Court decision in Roe versus Wade supported this view under the Fourteenth Amendment. This leads many people to affirm that it is unethical to ban abortion because doing so denies freedom of choice to women and forces her to bear her unwanted child.
