The author, Rogers Rosenbalt, used a wide variety of examples and analogies to support his argument; however, there was one of each that stood out more than the others. First the example found at “every court case is a competition of tales told by the prosecutor and defense attorneys; the jury picks the one they like best” (Rosenbalt), this is an excellent supporting example. The attorneys were not at the scene of the crime, in reality, they do not know what really happened, they use evidence and witnesses, the stories of people who were there, to support the narrative of the story they wanted told. Depending on which story was stronger or more believable, the deciding factor on whether someone will be guilty or innocent. The jury members history
