Rose Volleyball Club Case Study

INTRODUCTION
The Rose Volleyball Club requires gym space before we can start advertising our club. Discussions between Wilsonville High School's Athletic Director, Dennis Burke, and I are on going. These discussions include pricing, days, and availability. So far Wilsonville’s gyms would provide everything that we would need to run an effective and fully functioning volleyball club. I recommend that we, the co-owners, meet before the final meeting and review the contract.

COMPLETED WORK
So far, contact has been made with the athletic director and a contract is in process. Mr. Burke seems highly interested in the prospect of running a volleyball club out of Wilsonville High School. We both have come to the agreement that a partnership between …show more content…
The Rose will be competing with the basketball team for part of our season. Mr. Burke is committed to making space for us and is reviewing gym needs with the basketball coach. The Rose will potentially be able to practice three times a week and have access to both of the gyms. We are also close on settling on a rent price that will be both affordable and cost effective for both parties. Availability to host club run tournaments is also being discussed. Again, for part of the season gym space will be shared with basketball so days will be limited that a tournament can be held. This will not be the case later in the season.

WORK REMAINING
A final draft of the contract still needs to be made. This will be easily completable within the next two weeks. After that Wilsonville High School and The Rose will have to start working on advertising the club to its players and players around the area. By next season the club should have enough interest from the community that three to five teams could be created.
