Born in Rochester, New York, Wambach was raised in the Rochester suburb of Pittsford. She is the most energetic of seven family bound to Pete and Judy Wambach.She began playing soccer at four years of age after her sister picked she expected to endeavor the diversion. As a pre-young person, she began getting away shields by heading the ball over them and surrounding them. Wambach went to Our Lady of Benevolence Auxiliary School in Rochester from 1994 to 1998, where she lettered in soccer and basketball.[4] In the midst of her optional school calling, she scored 142 destinations, joining 34 in 1997 alone. Tolerance soccer coach, Kathy Boughton, inspected that Wambach would stay after practice to take a shot at diving headers – a mastery that would later transform into her signature as a worldwide player.[10] Tailing her senior season, Wambach was named to Parade Magazine's Optional School All-America Bunch.
