The academic principle I chose is a second-grade science standard. This standard is S2P1. Students will investigate the properties of matter and changes that occur in objects. a. Identify the three common states of matter as solid, liquid, or gas. b. Investigate changes in objects by tearing, dissolving, melting, squeezing, etc. During this movement pattern, we will be focusing on identifying the three states of matter as solid, liquid, and gas. For the movement pattern, I will instruct the students to stand up out of their seats first. Next, I will explain to the students that the molecules in a solid are tightly packed and therefore can’t move around, the molecules in a liquid are a little more loosely packed than in a solid so they move
