According to the New Economic Policy in 1971-1990 and this continued in to the National Development Policy in 1991 until 2010. ...Texas Borders and Immigrations Darell Andrews CJA/304 November 3, 2014 WAFEEQ SABIR Texas Borders and Immigrations Texas with amongst other southern states has issues with immigrants from Mexico, crossing into their states. A recent outbreak of children caught crossing the border. Texas and other states used tax payers money to house these children. Reporter Chuck Ross stated “The recent spike of illegal immigrants — which the Obama administration has called “unprecedented” — has mostly been reported as a wave of unaccompanied children. The administration predicts that 90,000 will be apprehended this year — three times last year’s totals.” (Ross, 2014, n.a) Families in Mexico believe their children will have a better and safe life in the United States. For a parent to send their children away and possibly never see their child again, the child must have been living a devastating lifestyle. The parents are aware the United States will provide immediate care for their children. Our government needs to come up strategy to lower or completely stop immigrants from invading our states. A part of me feels horrible for these children who have lived a terrifying life and are looking for peace in their life. These children are not trying to avoid authorities once they make it over the border. They want to be caught and have the opportunity to receive a visa to stay in the United States. After each child is arrested at the border they began the process of being deported...

...Understanding the BIOS and POST Abdus-Salaam Sabir NT1110: Computer Structure and Logic_ Module 5_Short Answer August 22, 2015 Darius Banks Understanding the BIOS and POST Why is it necessary to use ROM for the BIOS and not RAM? The basic input/output system (BIOS) is an essential component of the mother- board. This boot firmware, also known as System BIOS, is the first code run by a computer when it is booted. It prepares the machine by testing it during boot- up and paves the way for the operating system to start. It tests and initializes components such as the processor, RAM, video card, magnetic disks, and optical disks. If any errors occur, the BIOS reports them as part of the testing stage, known as the power-on self-test (POST). The BIOS resides on a ROM chip and stores a setup program that you can access when the computer first boots up. From this program, a user can change settings in the BIOS and upgrade the BIOS as well. It is necessary to use ROM for the BIOS because the data in the RAM is cleared when the computer shuts down, but the data in the ROM is always there for the BIOS to use. The BIOS is typically placed in a ROM (Read-only memory) chip that comes with the computer. This ensures that the BIOS will always be available and will not be damaged by disk failures. It also makes it possible for a computer to boot itself. Read-only memory is computer memory on which data has been prerecorded. Once data has been written onto a ROM chip,...

The environment of Iraq becomes more polluted every day. Because of the toxic gases which produced by the factories. However, this is just one the problems that Iraq is facing today. Iraq is facing three important challenges or problems which are political, religious, and educational. Iraq is challenging great political problems. There are many parties in Iraq, and each party is working for its own benefits and advantages. If you watch Iraqi parliament for one time, you will see that they are just want money and high positions. They just agree on constitutions that benefit them, and they don't care about the country. The latest issue was the conflict between Nuri Al-Malki and Anbar's tribes. Anbar's tribes request from the government to change some policies because they are not fair, but Al-Malki disagrees because that is against his benefits. Iraq has political issues with neighbor countries too. For a long time, Iraq has problems with Kuwait and still has problems because Iraq conquered Kuwait in 1990. Iraq has troubles with Iran because Iran wants to control our country, so they can control the Middle East after that. Iran has many spies in our country and government. The other reason is that Iraq is the main base of USA army in the Middle East Iraq has many religious problems. There are different types of religions...

Organizational Change and Employees’ Behaviors Organizational change is something that occurs most often in today’s business world. Organizational change can affect employees’ attitudes and behaviors in the workplace. Being able to recognize the types of changes and how employees are affected will better help a company in the process of a change gain a better workplace environment. The following research and studies are all based on employees’ and organizational change. Research that Shin, Taylor, & Seo (2012) based their paper on states that involvement in planned organizational change is a long, emotionally intense, stressful, and fatiguing process for most employees. The findings from the research they have done were that intense negative emotions experienced by most employees during organizational change lead them to become change averse and reluctant to enact supportive behaviors directed at achieving goals set by organizations’ leaders. One argument they had was that one way to boost and sustain employees’ commitment to change is to build up their individual resources prior to the start of a change process. Those individual resources then...

...Measuring Crime in the United States Kyra Pettit CJA/204 August 5, 2013 Dr. Wafeeq Sabir Measuring Crime in the United States In the following paper, these criminal justice students will address the three major points of crime measurement in the United States. Even though there may be changes of crime statistics, but not changes in the crime rate; that is because crime can be measured in numerous ways. Two measuring systems being the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) and Uniform Crime Reports (UCR), report criminal information, but do not reflect it all. Because of the different factors that go into reporting crime some crimes go unreported. Instruments Crime is measured through statistics in the United States. Statistics help develop and see how new laws and programs are working. The three statistical reports used to measure crime in the United States are the (UCR) Uniform Crime Report, (NCVS) National Crime Victimization Survey, and (NIBRS) The National Incident Based Reporting System (Schmalleger, 2011). All of the crime instruments used can only be as accurate as the sources given to them. Programs and Purpose The FBI’s statistical program is the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program administered by the Department of Justice which measures the impact of the crime, magnitude, and nature of the crime. The National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), conducted by the Bureau of Justice Statistics. This survey randomly selects individuals that may...

...sign-outs as compared to daily medication lists in patient charts. 186 patients (75%) and 10 (100%) interns consented to participate. From 165 patient charts abstracted and compared: 27% of medication chart entries had discrepancies with sign-outs; 63% of index errors persisted past the first day and 54% of index discrepancies were moderate or severely harmful. Horwitz et al (2006) used a self-administered survey of 324 US internal medicine residency programs outside of NY State to investigate patient sign-out between resident physicians. Results revealed most centres (55%) did not have a system in place for handover, for informing nurses regarding change of care (59%) and most did not provide any workshops or teaching on handover (60%). Sabir et al (2006) conducted a national UK survey of obstetric anaesthetic handovers to record routine practice and perceptions of handover. 168 (70%) anaesthetists responded with 4% (7 incidents) recording critical incidence occurring within the previous 12 month period as a result of poor handover. Jagsi et al (2005) conducted a survey of trainees at 2 US teaching hospitals about experiences with adverse events, mistakes and near misses. ...Taha Sabir Journal #1 HRD # 313D Influencing people is another crucial aspect of being an effective leader. In my current position the power I seem to use most is Expert power. Our office has an extremely young employee base that has not been in Government acquisition very long. Since I have been heavily involved in acquisitions and specifically on one specific airframe many coworkers look to me for help. Because of this it seems to set me apart from other program managers that reside at the same level as me. This power coincides with information power. Because of this knowledge and the fact that coworkers bring their issues, I continually gain information from them on programs that I do not normally work or are not with in my prevue. Also, due to residing in the same program for over three years, I use a large amount of connection power. There are quite a few people that have been part of the program in other locations that I have built relationships with and individuals that have moved up in the program that I still communicate with on a regular basis. My relationship with these individuals gives me power in itself. Occasionally, I have been asked to make a phone call to help out in certain situations. Most of the above powers are based on a long standing position within the same office. Currently, I do not use the other identifies powers because I am not in a position to do so, hence the reason I am going after my degree at NEIU. I do, however, make recommendations to leadership...

...Developing a strong sense of valuing other people in the workplace and elsewhere in society By Sarah Sabir University of Manitoba Introduction Values form the foundation for everything that happens in the workplace and in society (Heathfield, para. 2). So, is employee satisfaction crucial to a company’s overall success? Employees are considered an important asset to the business. If an employee is unhappy, that has a negative impact that can range from high turnover and low productivity; to a loss in revenue and poor customer service (Mayhew, para. 1). The consequences will impact not only the individuals in the workplace, but the overall society. Although a company’s mission and values are essential to success, an employee is the most valuable assets a firm can have (Mayhew, para. 1). For a business to keep running, its people must be fully engaged and satisfied with their work. According to Infographic by Bullhorn: “dissatisfied or neutral employees ranked having a bad boss as one of the top five reasons” (Lewis, 2012, para. 1). The management team should take the first step in understanding the reasons for their employees’ dissatisfaction. Core Canadian values, as defined by the citizens themselves are the foundation for the social contract. The social contract reframes the roles for government, citizens, business and the communities. Citizens insist that political leaders continue to be responsible for pooling economic, social and public safety risks on...
