Sacajawea or also called Sacagawea was born 1788, she was raised in the Lemhi River Valley. She was a Lemhi Shoshone woman. In 1804, for she was summoned to be an interpreter for the Lewis and Clark expedition. The mission for Lewis and Clark was to search the Louisiana Purchase. On the trip, in February 1805, Sacajawea gave birth to her son named Jean Baptiste Charbonneau. She was proved to be very helpful on their journey, even carrying a baby.
Sacajawea is very important, and needs to be remembered for her helpful, and peaceful nature. She helped Lewis and Clark on their expedition. She was only meant to be a translator, but she was a friend, and a survival guide. Sacajawea helped, the 32 members on the trip, find non poisonous food in
