Sachin Tendulkar: A great human being more than a great player
26th December 2004, there was the second one day match Between Bangladesh and India. The match was just about to start. A boy aged most probably ten was walking around the pavilion of Bangabandhu national stadium in Dhaka. The father of that boy was trying to feed him something but it was not ready to take. Then he asked him why not you are eating, would please tell me? He did not reply and pay attention at all. His eyes were strung on stairs towards the dressing room. Suddenly he cheered up, here is Sachin tendulkar ! After hearing the shout everyone was on their feet whether it is true or not. As soon as the boy saw him he at once agreed to eat. It is so much surprising that a sports person can make such impact on a child that he even refused to eat! But it was not so unusual to see a youngster left his food to see one of the greatest cricketers ever.
This is `how Sachin Tendulkar has made himself as the cricket god to his fans. There is nothing to tell about his batting as he has broken all the possible records he can. It will be unfair if we do not say something about his wonderful personality also. Sachin has been not just a great player but also a great human being in his entire life. The five feet five inch little man has not only conquer everyone’s mind by his blistering cover drive but he has also managed to conquer everyone’s heart with his gentle and patient behavior.
Sachin has established an example that it doesn’t matter if you are not able to do well in your study still you can be a famous person if you can recognize your ability. There was a trend in india that every parent at that time wanted their children to be a doctor or a engineer when Sachin started playing cricket but over the years things have changed now. At present most of the parents want their children to become a Sachin tendulkar. The reason is simple, if you can become Sachin then you will be both famous and a good human being at a time. It can be say that as he is one of the greatest player of cricketing history so youngsters have lot to learn from him in terms of cricket but the question is will they only learn how to play gorgeous shots from him ? Well, perhaps not at all. Sachin tendulkar has achieved numerous awards and honor in his life. Many of the great former cricketers have declared him as the best cricketer ever. A very few cricketers have achieved such honor like him perhaps a very few will also get this kind of honor in the future too. But despite of reaching the mountain of the success he kept his feet on the ground. In his twenty four years career he never created any controversy. It is amazing to keep yourself unchanged despite of knowing that you are the role model of one hundred and twenty crore people isn’t is ? This simply tells his greatness as a human being. Sachin always has compassion for the helpless people. He is a silent crusader when it comes to charitable works undertaken by him. Sachin has several funds for helping the poor people in different hospitals in Mumbai the city where he lives. He is also taking care of approximately 250 children by providing cloths and other necessaries. He also looks after their complete education including books, note books, shoes, and uniforms. He is doing all these great work almost silently. Like always Sachin is unwilling to expose in this issue too. According to sachin he does not like to get media coverage in these issues. He thinks he is lucky to have the chance of helping these unprivileged.
So this is Sachin tendulkar. A man about whom nothing bad have ever told by anyone and nothing bad have heard by anyone. He leaves an example to the world how to be good man as well as a good player across the whole world.
For The last couple of days a lot of things have been said about him because he has ended his twenty four years golden career. Sachin hasn't just been a champion cricketer; he has remained a champion human being and a champion team man. That is a very rare combination, and that's why Sachin is what Sachin is.
