It was the year 1850 when our parents died of Tuberculosis. Sarah was 12, and I was 20 when they died. Our father was a lawyer, and was very successful at it, and our mother stayed home and looked after the house, and us. When they died, they left their fortune to Sarah, since she was always the favorite child, and left her in my custody. As long as she was in my custody, the inheritance would be mine. But that changed the day she turned twenty four. She went to run some errands in town, wearing her favorite dress: a satin, dark red dress with red, velvet ribbons. I needed something that would kill him quickly, and painfully. There were hemlock, belladonna, botulinum toxin, and thallium. Hemlock would make him have severe pain, and take many hours for him to die. Belladonna would cause paralysis of the respiratory system, and would take an hour to five hours for him to die. Botulinum toxin would cause paralysis, and would take twelve to seventy two hours for him to die. Thallium would cause the heart to stop, and the victim to die a very painful death, but death can be delayed for a long time. I finally decided the best poison to use would be belladonna. I spent the next days deciding on how to complete the murder. I decided to cook soup, fish, roast mutton, and vegetables for dinner, and pie for dessert. I would lace his soup and pie with juice of the berries grown on the plant. Finally, the day arrived. I went out to the road to meet him, and looked back at the mansion.
