First time I ever heard of the band was when I was browsing through Soundcloud randomly to make a playlist.
“Uppercutter” was the first song I heard from them and after months of only listening to that song, I decided to look up the band, Saintseneca.
I found their album “Dark Arc”, played it for hours and instantly loved it.
It was the first time I’d ever heard American folk music with a bit of a rock punk twist to it.
Many people would call it “hipster” music, since the band isn’t very well known.
I can’t describe it properly: their music made me feel relaxed and peaceful. The lyrics had all of these hidden meanings and cryptic messages. I was sold right then and there.

Since the release of their first album, Steve Ciolek, Jon Meador, Matt O’Conke and Maryn Jones came into the band, while Steva Jacobs and Luke Smith it.
In spring of 2013 the band decided to sign with ANTI- records.
They started working with producer Mike Mogis and they recorded their second album “Dark Arc”. Their first single on the album “Uppercutter” was released on October 15, 2013. And they released the full album on April 1, 2014.
But it’s not only his music and jewelries he’s known for. It’s also his mysterious lyrics, believes and also his “uniform” as he/people call it. He wears only black (as you can see if you look him up). This is because it “adds a sense of ease and simplicity to his life. With his uniform, he never has to worry about what to wear.” Plus it also makes him recognizable.
You focus on the actual person and not what’s on the outside. It instantly takes you to the deeper layers of a person.
