THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING

1.1 Introduction We can only manage time, not control it. Once it runs past you, it will never go back. A person with effective time management skills is undoubtedly considered a productive individual as well. He also has a systematic way to prioritize tasks by the urgency, by importance, or by the level of difficulty. He can organize plans and put them into action according to what is in his schedule, either in a daily or weekly basis. He can excellently accomplish these tasks without putting much time and energy--or so with efficiency--yet still achieve the outstanding and expected results--or so the effectiveness. Therefore, it can be concluded that acquiring these basic and necessary skills could create an individual who has the highest rate of surviving in this fast-paced world which demands a lot of accomplishments in order to be regarded as a functional and productive asset. It cannot be entirely fall under the reason, but most of the success rate depends on maximizing the resource which makes it possible for you to finish such tasks: time. This may seem to limitedly refer to people in the industry, to those professionals in the office, or to those high personalities in show business and politics, but also extends to the point we have all been for most of our youth: to the students in the educational institutions; the starting point of every worker of this country. Michael Altshuler once quoted: “The bad news is, time flies; the good news is, you’re the pilot.” However, the ride can be a shaky and tough one in such places where everything needs to be done simultaneously and with outstanding results; those circumstances that you need to push your abilities into a level beyond. Youth today have been extra busy to different things in their life: whether it could be from school, family, friends, or hobbies and interests.
