If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from completing Projects, Quizzes, Seminars, or participating in the class, please contact your instructor to make alternative arrangements. The possibility of alternative arrangements is at the discretion of your instructor. Active communication is the key to overcoming any hurdles you may encounter during the term. It is your responsibility to inform your instructor (ahead of time, whenever possible) of extenuating circumstances that might prevent you from completing work by the assigned deadline. In those situations, we will work together to come up with a mutually acceptable alternative. Prior notification does not automatically result in a waiver of the late penalties.

Up to 1 week (1–7 calendar days) late is a 20% deduction in points.
 After 1 week (8–14 calendar days) late is a 30% deduction in points.
 No work will be accepted more than 2 weeks after the due date.

 Final Projects will not be accepted after the due date established in the course.

I. Explain what is it is you hope to gain from this particular course and why it will be important to you as a student and professional. Make sure to carefully review the CS113 Academic Strategies for the Business Professional course units to see what we will be focusing on in this course. You may also review the course syllabus for an overview of the course topics (Note: This is not a Business Management course).

In this class I hope to gain the learning and the experiences I need in my field of study.

II. Describe some of the challenges or obstacles you foresee as an online student, and explain how you will set yourself up for success. As a online student the obstacle that would be in my way is the weather, because when it rains and bad weather my internet goes out completely and don’t come back on til the weather has subsided. So my plan is to make sure I have all class work done early, but my seminars is at night so that would be the only proble for me, but I’m not going to let that stop me.
Develop a time-management strategy.
Students were asked what time-management strategies they found most helpful. One challenge facing an online student is the self-discipline required to devote adequate time to class in courses that might not have regularly scheduled times to meet synchronously online or in person. Most students found that establishing their own schedules for class time helped them ensure enough time for class participation.
I agree with this statement, because if you want to succeed you have to stay on top and stay focuced on your studies and anything that is not important can wait until you are done with your lesson. I would make a calendar that will hang in front of my computer letting me know what time I need to start, with my baby I will have taking care everything she needs before I start so I want have to stop once I get started.
Make the most of online discussions
I know this one I will enjoy because I am not a talkative person unless I have to, but with the discussion I say what I need to say and respond to my classmates as well.
