...To get into a college should cost much money; therefore, lots of students would look for a part-time job for helping to share the burden of their parents. And other students who want to have a part-time job are mostly because they want to get some social experiences. However, the students who have a part-time job have less time to keep interpersonal relationship, stay healthy, and study. To have a good interpersonal relationship in college is very important. Making good use of the time after school to join the associations, going out or discussing lessons with classmates after school all can improve the skills of social interactions. Nevertheless, the part-time job takes the students most of the time after school. So the students who have a part-time job after school might lose the chance to make friends, and build up desirable interpersonal relationships. To keep up the health is important but difficult to the students who have to work after school due to some reasons. First, the students who have to work after school might have to stay up to do their homework or reports; second, they might use their rest time to work; third, their immunity against disease might decrease. Therefore, it could be difficult for them to keep their health. Also they might sleep in classes or miss the classes because of insufficient rest and sleep as the result of long-time working after school. To focus on studying is the duty of students; however, it is usually difficult to those...

...ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY A Model Theory for Generic Schema Management Models Kinan M Al Haffar UM4699SIT10550D 07/08/2007 Abstract The core of a model theory for generic schema management is developed. This theory has two distinctive features: it applies to a variety of categories of schemas, and it applies to transformations of both the schema structure and its integrity constraints. A subtle problem of schema integration is considered in its general form, not bound to any particular category of schemas. The proposed solution, as well as the overall theory, is based entirely on schema morphisms that carry both structural and semantic properties. Duality results that apply to the two levels (i.e., the schema and the data levels) are established. These results lead to the main contribution of this paper: a formal schema and data management framework for generic schema management. Implications of this theory are established that apply to integrity problems in schema integration. The theory is illustrated by a particular category of schemas with object-oriented features along with typical database integrity constraints. 1 Introduction This paper presents the core results of a model theory for generic schema management, by which we mean schema and database transformation capabilities that are independent of a particular data model. Such transformations require major database programming tasks, such as integrating source schemas when building a data warehouse...

...Creative community behind the Shan Zhai Culture China has bad reputation on the massive production of counterfeit goods. It scares the Western world by the report of the huge amount and variety of the fakes. Chinese people name this counterfeit production in a ironic way- “Shan Zhai Culture” where the words “Shan Zhai” original means “mountain village”. Shan Zhai is to describes those electronic products, like cell phone, MP3 that have the similar names or appearance of famous brands but were made in the village. 1 Because of this, many people blame Chinese industries for copying the original products without approvals. Some people even concluded that China is a nation lacking of innovation. But how can a national rapidly developed in 30 years without spirit of innovation and creativity? Shan zhai is different from simply counterfeiting; it means more to China. Some people believe that the thriving Shan Zhai culture is because of the Chinese Styled Education System where teacher centered classes and text-based education killed the creativity of Chinese kids 3. Some says counterfeiting and following the developed countries is a characteristic of emerging world 2. From the cultural to economic reasons, the fact that Shan Zhai is badly needed in China cannot be denied. In other words, China is not a country without innovations, but it has to have the Shan Zhai that imitating others as a process of development4. Shan Zhai on one hand is a good strategy for marketing 2. It...

...ANALYTICAL REVIEW CHAPTER 15 & 16 YUKL Leadership in Organizations (eighth edition) CAVRIL ROMBLEY 4/13/2015 Facilitating conditions for leadership development Leaders face new challenges and changes in organizations on a daily basis. In order to better prepare for these changes leaders need to continue to develop their skills and competencies. There are different leadership training programs but the effectiveness of a training program, the degree of developmental experience and self-help activities also depends on the organizational conditions (Yukl, 2013 ). What are the facilitation conditions? 1. Support by the boss The role of the leader in the organization and his/her role in facilitating leadership skills development is well documented by researchers such as Hillman, Schwandt & Bartz, 1990; London & Mone 1987 & Valerio 1990. Bosses need to treat mistakes as learning experience and provide mentoring and coaching to subordinates. Support is also important before and after training. 2. Learning climate Yukl talk about creating a learning climate by making flexible job assignments to allow learning and development, flexible work schedule to allow time to experiment with new methods, financial support, arrange workshops and skilled speakers, establish sabbatical program, career counseling program, voluntary skill assessment, pay increase dependent of development, awards for innovation and improvements and use of symbols...

...the major provider of education. However, because of poor quality of public education, 27% of Indian children are privately educated. According to some research, private schools often provide superior results at a fraction of the unit cost of government schools. However, others have suggested that private schools fail to provide education to the poorest families. Most of the private schools provide central board education not state board to maintain their quality. In their favour, it has been pointed out that private schools cover the entire curriculum and offer extra-curricular activities such as science fairs, general knowledge, sports, music and drama. The pupil teacher ratios are much better in private schools than government scho ols in rural areas. The competition in the school market is intense, yet most schools make profit. Even the poorest...

...LITERATURE REVIEW TV commercials have a great impact on our lives, and it is also seen that some people like commercials while some do not. It is also seen if one is watching an interesting movie or an interesting football or cricket match, there are some commercials broadcasted along, which causes disturbance while watching the movie or match. Few organizations develop advertisements on TV mostly give responsibility to other companies to check if the TV commercials are really broadcasted as per the contract. L. Agnihotri et al (2003). There are a few organizations that form advertisements and examine on the present advertised commercials and only keep the significant ones. For a user or a viewer he might want to record the movie or a particular program and would prefer a break free one i.e. without any advertisements. There have been set top boxes or software that detect and discard the commercials on the broadcast TV signal. Study in the field of the advertisement identification is segmented into various manners. It can be dependent on the audio or video information or an amalgamation of both. There are some works by A. G. Hauptmann and M. J. Witbrock (2006) that use the verbatim data achieved from the text streams, or the optical character recognition or speech identification for segmentation. In work proposed by L.-Y. Duan et al (2007) it has been given that using usual features of advertisement blocks like frames and silence amid commercials to identify cuts and categorize...

...He had the guts to do that?” Amazing what desperation can do to a man. “Turns out it was all in vain!” The 2nd exploded into laughter. Eight days ago, when the 2nd Platoon was in reserve duties while the 1st and 3rd were about to charge, the Krauts dropped gas over no man’s land. In all the confusion, Lieutenant Price, 1st Platoon, blew his whistle. As excited as they were, the 1st bolted out from the trench. The Krauts were notorious for the hospitality they provided, the traditional complimentary three-course meal of no man’s land; bullet salad for the appetizer, mortar fire for the main course, and artillery barrage for dessert. When it was time for dessert, there wasn’t anyone left to appreciate the fine cuisine of the German 5.9 inch scho-ko-latte cake, also known as the 150 mm field howitzer. There’s always room for dessert, they said. The 3rd was smart enough to drop their rifles and switch to masks. They never went over the top after all, and George was stupid to stab himself. Now, the 3rd was sent to reserve and it was the 2nd’s turn to go over the top. Tomorrow was supposed to be the eighth day in the trench, and they would have been rotated to reserves. But those damned desk-jockey officers decided to push forward, give it another try. The 2nd knew, they were condemned to death. They were lying on the bunks, laughing the crap out of George’s stupidity but deep inside, they all envied him. “We’re all going to die out there,” Ernest’s sentimental statement canceled...

...Switzerland is a tiny country of some 7.7 million people surrounded by four far-larger neighbours: France, Germany, Italy and Austria. Yet despite its small size, it seems everyone has an opinion about what life is like in Switzerland. For some the mountainous country is a beautiful, pristine paradise. For others it’s uptight, conservative and downright boring. Switzerland is most famous for its mountains, cheese, chocolate, cows, and watches. Of course these things are part of everyday life: check out the mouth-watering display of chocolate bars at any grocery store. But the Swiss and their country are far more complex. The biggest challenge is pinning down who exactly typifies the average Swiss: there are four different cultures and languages. Some 64 per cent of Swiss speak German. (They actually use Swiss German dialects when chatting and High German for writing). About 20 per cent speak French, seven per cent speak Italian, and less than one per cent speak Romansh. Only by living here does one learn the customs and etiquette that make the country so much more than its stereotypical image. The Swiss, for example, pursue a policy of neutrality but also have a large army to defend the country. It’s not unusual to phone up a business acquaintance and find they have left for military service for a few weeks. And while the Swiss love their rules and order, you still find places where chaos reigns. Try figuring out when to cross the road at the crosswalks known...

Many comp anies abandoned acti vit y-based costing because it did not capture th e complexity of their operations, took too long to implement, and wa s too expensive to build and maintain. Here’s a way around th ose problems. In the classroom, activity-based costing looks like a great way to manage a company’s lim- ited resources. But many managers who have tried to implement ABC in their organizations on any significant scale have abandoned the at tempt in the face of rising costs and em- ployee irritation. They should try again, be- c ause the new approach we lay out in the fol- lowing pages sidesteps the difficulties traditionally associated with large-scale ABC implementation by relying on informed man- agerial estimates rather than on employee sur- ve ys. It also provides managers with a far more flexible...

...Psychology and Health Issues Psychology and Health Issues When the weight of an individual is greater than what’s considered to be healthy for their given height is exceeded, and then they are labeled as obese. The ranges of weight also have been able to show the increase and likelihood of other diseases and health care problems. “About one third of the United States adults are obese and approximately 17% of children and adolescents between ages two and 19 are obese” (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2010). According to the center for disease control, “ in 2010 no states has a prevalence of obesity less than 20%, thirty six states has a prevalence of 25% or more, and twelve of the states had a prevalence of 30% or more” (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2010). Individuals can become obese by eating a large number of calories and not exercising enough to burn the calories off. Although diet and exercise plays a part in obesity there are also other factors such as age, gender, genetics, environment, physical activity, illness, and medication (WebMd, 2005-2011) that takes a part in obesity. As individuals begin to age their metabolizism slows down. Women sometimes tend to be more overweight than me. Men are know to burn more energy at rest than women and require more calories to keep up with their body weight. Lack of exercise and the continuous consumption of junk food also contributes to obesity in youth and adults. Nowadays some families depend...
