The time you spend in school.

Instead of having kids sitting in school for hours and hours a day I believe that short sweet and simple school days should take over. There is generally a lot of wasted time during the school day and everyone could receive benefits for shorter days. The teachers would have a lot more time on their hands to grade papers. With all their extra time they can devote more time to their students and any help they may require. The kids would benefit because no one wants to be in school hours on end. Kids would have more free time in their day. They would not need to stress over getting homework done on top of playing sports or any extracurricular activities that promote kids being healthy. They would also benefit because if they start to fall behind in school they can easily stay after class and get the help they need while not worrying about a ride home or missing the bus. Both teachers and kids alike would benefit from the sleep they receive from, not staying up all night trying to get homework done. The overall stress of going to school and having a thousand things running through your head would be eliminated. They both spend more time with family and friends. They have all this free time to get school work done could improve on people being social and stepping away from their cell phones for a change.
Today’s school system only focuses on tests to grade how well kids are doing. You see one side of the story with tests. The schools should follow the system a traditional college does. You schedule the classes you want. This could be from any classes you think you might want to make a career or classes to make you handier and teach you general information. Some examples I think should be classes are topics like basic car repair, knowing how to change a tire, knowing how to do taxes and money management. Today’s school system seems to set

Should School Uniforms Be Paid?

...Expensive Cloth Students’ parents spend hundreds of dollars every year on clothes for their children. They wear these clothes five days a week, seven hours a day. Schools have turned to making their students wear expensive and uncomfortable clothes just because it keeps them more “safe”. Schools have had uniforms for a long time, but now schools are taking it to far by forcing families to spend hard earned money on clothes their kids only wear to school. Keeping kids from being themselves at school. Schools should not have dress codes because it limits students’ self-expression they’re expensive. Wearing a uniform limits self-expression and personal style. Students need to learn to be themselves and standout from the rest of the crowd. For example, “Children are always taught to break free and standout. But with uniforms, the schools are actually lobbying the opposite” (Listland 1). If uniforms are teaching kids the opposite of what they were taught while growing up then clearly...

Students' Behavior in School

...Ninety eight percent of kids on America and in the world spend the first eighteen years of their lives between the two homes; their house, and their school. And if you think about it, a student actually spends more time at school than at home on a school day, five days a week, 9 months a year. Because most of the time he spends in his house, he spends sleeping, so more than 60 percent of his values and behaviors is being earned at school, from the teachers, which are all second fathers and mothers to their students. Schools in general do their best to maintain a healthy, warm and safe environment for their students to interact and learn, using each and every individual of the staff members to make it as convenient as possible for the kids to spend their times. Whether it’s the principle, teacher, nurse, security guard, or janitor. And the simplest thing for us students to do in return is to behave ourselves and be as much respectful as possible to each other and to the teachers. However, there are some students who don’t cherish all the advantages they get, throwing away the nice treatment they receive and just try their best to make a mess. Overlooking the fact that there are other students in class who actually want to learn, disrespecting the faculty members and most importantly reflecting a very bad image about their parents and their manners. I think that such students should be taught that a classroom is a learning environment and should be treated as such. It is not...

...A new and better way to learn ~Bobbie H.~ “No, I’m not going to do it. You can’t convince me, there is no way I’m going to put her through that. There is no way I am going to home school my daughter,” says Regina Lowenstein, 34. “I want my daughter to have every opportunity and Homeschoolers have no future.” For many people, homeschooling is seen as bad thing, depriving children of experiences and leaving them without a diploma. For several reasons, many people believe that home schooling is bad for their children. They say that it prevents their kids form socialization, their children don’t do as well in school, and that home schooling is too time consuming and costly, yet that is far from true. In truth, homeschooling is a great opportunity for your children and can actuality improve your child’s learning abilities. First of all, one of the main reasons parents say no to homeschooling is time. Most parents don’t have the time to be sitting at home all day and teaching their kids. For them, public schooling is much more convenient, since children can be in school when parents are at work. Yes, home schooling can be time consuming at first, but that is only as you are getting used to the switch. In truth the younger your kids are, the more time you spend with them, so why not spend that time helping them learn and having fun. Since I have so many responsibilities, time is subtracted from my personal life and activities. Of all the responsibilities, school takes the most time every weekday. Waking up early in the morning, cleansing your body, getting dressed, and leaving on time are some of the responsibilities before school. But what happens after school? Well that’s the major responsibilities that are highly important. The in-school work is mostly based on the homework. This activity takes hard work, determination, and concentration. Depending on your work ethic you can accomplish the goal of finishing faster. Eschewing distractions is a sign of determination and will improve your concentration.
