The proteins in a body are constantly braking down and being replaced. With the proteins that are in found in our foods that we eat and they are digested into amino acids in our bodies that are used to replace the proteins that are in our bodies. Proteins are known to be made up of amino acids and there are about 20 different amino acids that join to make different types of proteins. But not all amino acids can be made by a person’s body and this is known as essential amino acids. There are two types of proteins and those proteins are a complete protein source and an incomplete protein source. With a complete protein source, it provides all of the essential acids that a body needs. These proteins are also can be called high quality proteins and they can be found in animal-based foods. With an incomplete protein source, it is low in one or more of the essential amino acids that a body needs. There are risks that are associated with protein deficiency and overconsumption. These risks can increase a person’s risk of getting osteoporosis. There has been research done and it shows that women who are on a high protein diet based on meat have a higher rate of loss on their density compared to the women who don’t. These are the agents, which scavenge free radicals otherwise reactive oxygen species and prevent the damage caused by them. Free radicals have been associated with pathogenesis of various disorders like cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, autoimmune diseases, neurodegenerative disorders and are implicated in aging. Several antioxidants like SOD, CAT, epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate, lycopene, ellagic acid, coenzyme Q10, indole-3-carbinol, genistein, quercetin, vitamin C and vitamin E have been found to be pharmacologically active as prophylactic and therapeutic agents for above mentioned diseases. Two groups have collected data for ≥ 10 years of mobile phone use: Hardell and colleagues from Sweden and the Interphone group, an international consortium from 13 countries coordinated by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. data synthesis: Combined odds ratios (95% confidence intervals) from these studies for glioma, acoustic neuroma, and meningioma were 1.5 (1.2–1.8); 1.3 (0.95–1.9); and 1.1 (0.8–1.4), respectively. conclusions: Methodologic considerations revealed that three important conditions for epidemiologic studies to detect an increased risk are not met: a) no evidence-based exposure metric is available; b) the observed duration of mobile phone use is generally still too low; c) no evidence-based selection of end points among the grossly different types of neoplasias is possible because of lack of etiologic hypotheses.
