Gamescape Summary
Balancing environmental and economic interest has proven difficult to achieve. Each has its strength and weaknesses that affect each other directly or indirectly. Based on my experience I will try to illustrate how this could be accomplished.
Balancing the environment and the economy
Sparksville's complex issues could be overcome by incorporating sustainable energy resources, maintain current infrastructure, and allow the Hybrid vehicle manufacturer to invest in the economy. The Hybrid car manufacturer provides the economic boosts needed with little impact on the environment. Combined with sustainable energy the environment is protected, jobs are provided, and manufacturers won't need to cut down on production. With these solutions everyone wins.
Principles of Sustainability
Sustainability should maintain and improve the lives of Sparksville's residence. It must also enhance the local economy which is essential to sustainability. But most important, it should protect the environment to enrich the biodiversity and ensure a healthy population.
Applying these principles
The success of any plan depends on educating residence on the subject. I would educate and reiterate the severity of the situation and why Sparksville needs these infrastructures. It is equally important that I create laws that govern businesses ensuring the environment, and the people of Sparksville are protected.
