INTRODUCTION As certain as it maybe that salvation is desired, there is a receivable tension which seems to occur and be present between these two doctrinal truths: salvation for the believer and damnation for the unbeliever. Confession of spending time agonizing periods of time when studying the Words of God is for all and some penetrating the new analysis, which would resolve our difficulties with the perplexing problem of knowing for certain that there is a need for salvation for all. The sermon was understandable, easy to follow and to understand. Had lots of jargon, and wordiness; vocabulary was only of value if you were familiar with the words used. Reasoning because of low ranking (27 out of 35) on “Organization”: Question 3, 5, & 6; the reason behind it was because of the fact the knowledge of verbiage may be just jargon that only those whom are around the ministry may understand such words. Reasoning of the lowered ranking (38 out of 40) on “Content” can be, despite of the great information presented was very simple, to understand and to follow. Without any doubt there was a great deal of exegesis and very Christ-centered message. Pastor Burris did have a well-organized message, however he had an outline detailed in the weekly bulletin as there are blanks for all to follow along and fill in as the message went on. This particular message had three vital points of discussion. The three points were as follows: 1. the “freeness” of Salvation; the “Nearness” of Salvation; & the “Realness” of Salvation. There could be more of an illustration on a testimony of how either self or someone else that came to the saving Salvation of Christ would probably been a great visual appeal. To give another perspective on Pastor Burris’s sermon can be looked at what Peter Adam wrote in his book Speaking God’s Words: A Practical Theology of Preaching. Adam creates a tremendous job with explaining the diverse aspects of preaching. He flinches in the start of his book off by sharing the reputation of having the presupposition that the Bible is God's written Word that God himself speaks to us from end to end of each Scripture.
