Implementation Stage
Implementation part of the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) with Riordan Manufacturing new integrated Human Resources system project will be the most time consuming part of the project and costly. Project leads, systems analyst and programmers will gather of all the system analysis and systems design documentation to come together and begin the coding, testing, installation, documentation, training, support and maintenance portion of the project. It is important for all of Riordan Manufacturing Human Resources department to work close with the Information Systems department to have a successful testing and implementation of the new HRIS. The following will provide the various stages that will be part of implementing the new integrated HR system.
Coding
Coding is the process through which the physical design specifications created earlier in the SDLC are now turned into computer programming code by the programming team. The decision has been made by Yvonne McMillan the director of HR to purchase Microsoft Dynamics AX Human Resources ERP software for the new Riordan Manufacturing HRIS. Microsoft Dynamics is compatible with the current Windows operating system that is being used by the organization. Once the coding has been programmed and completed by the Microsoft vendor, the next stage which is testing by the IS and HR can begin in parallel.
Testing
Various testing processes are necessary to make sure the new system is working properly before implementing the software into production. Software application testing should be planned at the beginning of the SDLC with designing the test plans to be performed during the implementation stage. The purpose of the various testing
