1. The author of my novel is Chuck Pfarrer, the title is Seal Target Geronimo and the genre is Non-Fiction.
2. “Even when waiting for one—knowing that it will come, and knowing where it will land—your ears deceive you. It is not silent but it also is not load enough for a person to connect the noise with an aircraft that can hover and fly. Hovering, they make the noise of a small waterfall, a blank, white noise. It is a sound that doesn’t carry very well.” This quote is my favorite in the novel because this helicopter just sounds so cool the way they describe it. This shows how advanced the United States is. That they can make a helicopter that no one can really hear.

3. “After ten years of flawless tradecraft, Al Qaeda’s internal communication system laid open to American intelligence.” I think this quote is significant passage in the novel because it really shows how good Al Qaeda was at hiding. Also if one guy slips up the CIA can uncover the whole system of terrorist, like Osama bin Laden.

4. Literary device- Dialogue
Quote it- “SEALs themselves will tell you, “It ain’t for everybody.”
Define it- The conversation between characters in a drama or narrative.
Significance- Everything that the SEALs do, not everyone can do so it is very hard stuff. It takes a lot of practice, so you just got to keep a mind set on that.

5. Literary device- Setting
Quote it- “Very dry, the Sun is beating down on us, very little water.”
Define it- the time, place, physical details.
Significance- They are in the desert, risking their lives for everyone back at home.

6. Literary device- Simile
Quote it- “It begins at the threshold of hearing as a fizzing, a hizzing, and then proceeds to a steady hum like a fan blowing in a distant room.”
Define it- connecting words using “Like” or “As”.
Significance- It is so quiet that no one can hear the helicopter
