Chart 1: Net Sales Chart 1 is a line chart. Line charts are ideal for representing changes over a period of time using lines to connect the datat points (Icoachmath.com. 2014). Using a line chart, below is a representation of net sales for Seal-Tight Company that covers a span of five years. Dollar amounts representing the millions is listed on the left side of the chart staring at thirty million and ending on sixty million. Years are listed horizonally towards the bottom of the chart. The increase and decrease of net sales is streamlined in blue. Looking at the chart each year had an increase except for 2011 in which there was a decrese of two million dollars.

Chart 2: Net Sales/Net Profits Comparison The next chart is representative of a bar chart or graph. According to Thomsonreuterslifesciences.com (n.d.), bar charts are used to condense “categorical data” using bars that are the same width, but differ in height which represent a different collection of data. Using a bar graph, Chart 2 represents a comparison of net sales versus net profits. Net sales is represented with a blue bar; while net profits is represented by an orange bar. Dollar amounts in millions are documented on the left side of the chart and years are horizontally listed on the bottom of the chart; again, showing a five year span.

Chart 3: Expenses The chart below represents the various expenses of Seal-Tight Company. Interest expenses are the gray bars, depreciation is the orange bar, and the blue bar is selling and administration expensed. After visualizing the various expenses, it will allow the company to see what and how much is allocated to each expense over the span of five years. In this chart the years are listed on the left

...The Beatles: Rock Band is a 2009 music video game developed by Harmonix, published by MTV Games, and distributed by Electronic Arts. It is the third major console release in the Rock Band music video game series, in which players can simulate the playing of rock music by using controllers shaped like musical instruments. The Beatles: Rock Band is the first band-centric game in the series, and it is centered on the popular English rock group the Beatles. The game features virtual portrayals of the four band members performing the songs throughout the band's history, including depictions of some of their famous live performances, as well as a number of "dreamscape" sequences for songs from the Abbey Road Studios recording sessions during the group's studio years. The game's soundtrack consists of 45 Beatles songs; additional songs and albums by the Beatles were made available for the game as downloadable content.[1] The game was released internationally on 9 September 2009, coinciding with the release of new, remastered compact disc versions of the Beatles' albums. It incorporates many of the gameplay features of the Rock Band series; however, it is not an expansion pack for the Rock Band series and content for it and other Rock Band titles is not cross-compatible. Harmonix co-founder Alex Rigopulos described the game as "... a new, full game title production built from the ground up."[2] Gameplay mechanics differ slightly from previous Rock Band games, including the addition of...

Solar Trough

...SOLAR PARABOLIC TROUGH 1.0 System Description Parabolic trough technology is currently the most proven solar thermal electric technology. This is primarily due to nine large commercial-scale solar power plants, the first of which has been operating in the California Mojave Desert since 1984. These plants, which continue to operate on a daily basis, range in size from 14 to 80 MW and represent a total of 354 MW of installed electric generating capacity. Large fields of parabolic trough collectors supply the thermal energy used to produce steam for a Rankine steam turbine/generator cycle. Figure 1. Solar/Rankine parabolic trough system schematic [1]. Plant Overview Figure 1 shows a process flow diagram that is representative of the majority of parabolic trough solar power plants in operation today. The collector field consists of a large field of single-axis tracking parabolic trough solar collectors. The solar field is modular in nature and is composed of many parallel rows of solar collectors aligned on a north-south horizontal axis. Each solar collector has a linear parabolic-shaped reflector that focuses the sun’s direct beam radiation on a linear receiver located at the focus of the parabola. The collectors track the sun from east to west during the day to ensure that the sun is continuously focused on the linear receiver. A heat transfer fluid (HTF) is heated as it circulates through the receiver and returns to a series of heat exchangers in the power block where the...

Bhatia Continuing Education and Development, Inc. 9 Greyridge Farm Court Stony Point, NY 10980 P: (877) 322-5800 F: (877) 322-4774 info@cedengineering.com HVAC FOR CLEANROOM FACILITIES Indoor air quality is of paramount importance for human comfort and health. Air, whether it is from outside or re-circulated within the area, acts as a vehicle for airborne contaminants brought in by the movement of people, material, etc. Since many of these airborne contaminants are harmful either to products or people working in such environments their removal is necessary on medical, legal, social or financial grounds. Cleanrooms are specially constructed, environmentally controlled enclosed spaces where the concentration of airborne particles (contaminants) is kept within specified limits. In industry, cleanrooms are used in the manufacturing of electronic hardware such as integrated circuits (ICs) and hard drives. In biotechnology and medicine, cleanrooms are used when it is necessary to ensure an environment free of bacteria, viruses, or other pathogens. Four fundamental rules apply to cleanrooms. 1) First, contaminants must not be introduced into the controlled environment from the outside. 2) Second, the apparatus or equipment within the controlled environment must not generate or otherwise give rise to contaminants (for example as a result of friction, chemical reactions, or biological processes). 3) Third...
