Overcome Procrastination with Put First Thing First
People said first year is the hardest part in people life. Yap, that’s true. I really feel that way now and I believe almost of my friend feel the same thing as me. Many factors cause this situation, one of them because first year is a transition time, a very big transition from high school to college and from teenage to an adult. This phase also determine my future so much, because when I succeed in this phase I will become a better person, but vice versa. One month become a first year student with the entire harsh situation in this very big city, I have been decide my college goal. First of all, as a student of course I want to get good score in every subject that I take. My target, this semester I get cumlaud GPA or about 3.8. Beside that, I can be able to submit all my assignment on time or even before the deadline. Last, I want to be an active student with joining some organization and club inside or outside campus. However, there are several barriers that can block my way to realize those goals. The biggest barrier that I identified is procrastination. Yes, sometime when I plan my day tidily, suddenly many things happen that drive me to procrastinate my agenda. Especially, procrastinate doing homework. If I do that again and again, it will very hard to reach my dreams. Therefore, I should overcome this barrier to catch my entire dream. One strategy that I use is make weekly plan. Every Sunday, I list everything that I need in college life, such as homework, examination, group project, and study group. I scheduled that list in day with specific time when I should do the plan. Meanwhile, to obey this weekly plan is really hard. So that, start from now on, I promise to myself that I will commit with my weekly plan, I will do all my agenda depend on the plan.
