Sensate Focus as described by Masters and Johnson is a therapeutic exercise that’s designed to build or increase couple’s intimacy awareness and needs. Simple put this is a method to help couples learn about themselves and each other as well. Then to be able to progress towards a fulfilling intimate relationship. The purpose is to build trust, intimacy in relationships. It helps couples to give and receive pleasure. It helps couples overcome fear of failure, and build more satisfying sexual relationships. Sensate Focus build those relationships where both partners will be able ask for what they want and are actually able to give pleasure and receive pleasure.
