”It’s hard to believe they once called me skinny” is the headline of the advertisement. The advertisement describes a “miracle” product, which enables you to gain several “attractive pounds”.
The woman in the advert is the main image. It is her who makes the biggest appeal to the costumer. The two men in the corner are looking up at her non-skinny body with a desiring look. It is very clear that they are admiring her. The woman has a supercilious look because she knows she is good-looking and no longer skinny. She has a model-like pose.

It is strictly saying that if you are skinny you are doomed to have an awful life, without any chance of a spouse.
The message is conveyed in a very persuasive manner. It says “You’re an entirely new, enticing person” after you take tablets. The advertisement is trying to build up ethos by referring to the thousands of satisfied customers who have gained weight. Besides from that the advert is borrowing ethos from different places. It is borrowing ethos from the doctors who have recommended yeast for several years and from the well known company Brewers’ ale yeast from Europe. The product is presented to be so reliable that results are guaranteed. In not any results are seen the money can be refunded. This is also a very clear example of ethos being used.
