The first ten minutes of any film sets the tone for the entire movie. Just like a movie, is it possible that a person’s earliest memories can set the tone for their entire life? And if so, if you do not like you’re tone, how do you change it? Well this is what I’m trying to do know. Whether or not my theory is correct, I’m trying to change the tone of my life. If a director of a film is creating a horror movie, and the first ten minutes of his film seems to comedic, then the director would change the beginning. What I’m trying to say is, if my theory is correct, and I know that there is a problem, would that make it easier to fix my problem? My earliest memories that I can recall are those from when I was in Kindergarten. Kindergarten is the year my father left my family. I don’t blame my father anymore for what he did, but I somehow wonder if the memory has somehow created an subconscious effect on my life. See, my brain works a lot different than that of my sister or brother. My brother was ten when my father left. Therefore, my brother already had memories built before the departure. As for my sister, she doesn’t even recall my father’s departure at all. She was too young. But for me, like I said it was my first memory. I was six years old. I was very young and somewhat obnoxious. At that age there really wasn’t much to worry about. There was a park right across the street from my house. My best friend Clayton lived a few houses down. Life was that of any normal six year old. My Father never told us himself that he was leaving. He never even spoke of it. My mom had to tell us. She explained that my Dad was going away. I was so angry. That was the first time I remember holding back my tears from my mom. I didn’t want her to see my sadness, because I knew that she was sad as well. I wanted my family to laugh.
