Students should be allowed to use technology such as computers, calculators and tablets, because then they will be able to develop a deeper understanding of the math concepts presented within their course. Technology also allows students to complete work faster. Allowing students to use technology will also make them more productive. There are some negatives to allowing the use of electrical devices in the classroom, but the pros out-weigh the cons.
In this day and age everything is revolving around technology. It only makes sense that technology would also be included in schools. A recent study shows that 73% of students do better when either taking a test on a computer or when allowed to use phones in class. Although most schools have technology such as computers and tablets in their disposal, they are not utilized in the classrooms. Instead of writing on papers, most students would be excited by the use of technology in class, therefore boosting their performance in class.
Technology can also help students complete work faster. The calculator, for example, is a tool used in mathematics to solve problems quickly that would normally be done on paper. This helps when there are tests that need to be completed in a certain amount of time; students can spend up to five minutes trying to solve a problem that can be solve in 10 seconds by a calculator. Computers can also be used to watch videos and look at tutorials to help the student deeper understand the material.
Some may argue that technology is a distraction in the classroom, but technology is no more a distraction than then pencil in your hand or that bug flying around the classroom. Technology has become a necessity in our society and will only continue to grow.
With the permission of technology in schools students will be able to attain a deeper understanding in their courses. Work will also be finished considerably faster than if one were not to use technology. Productivity will greatly increase with the introduction of technology into schools. Technology should be used in schools.

Whether or not this is true is left for debate but it clearly shows the interconnectedness of people on a planet that seems not so large anymore. On a much smaller scale this theory can be used as well. I’ve seen it performed for sports players and coaches, i.e. the Bill Walsh coaching tree, Dean Smith coaching disciples and even the six degrees of Ricky Henderson. For me and my industry which happens to be gaming the six degrees of separation would make me somewhat of a legacy. In only four steps, my gaming lineage can be traced all the way back...
