...When I first started reading this article, I thought to myself my wife and I talk for at least ten minutes a day so we are doing good. But as I read further down I realized we are not having quality conversation. We are asking questions about chores and kids. It’s really hard for me to talk to my wife because I am not the talkative type. While most people think they are fairly good listeners, studies show that the majority of people listen poorly and inefficiently (Lee & Hatesohl, 1993). After a long day I just like to silently relax. She is the complete opposite.
