SCENE DESCRIPTION: This crash occurred on SR 924, a two-lane divided highway that is also known as the "Shenandoah Highway". In the area of the crash the highway is divided by a double yellow painted line. The highway comes to a "T" intersection and SR 924 South turns slightly to the left and has two large "Stop signs" one being on the left side and the other on the right side.

Weather: Light rain shower with dense fog.
Lighting Conditions: Dark

PRE-IMPACT MOVEMENTS: Unit #1 was travelling southbound on SR 924 approaching the "T-intersection" with Ringtown Blvd. Unit #1 failed to slow when negotiating the slight turn and then failed to stop for the clearly and properly posted stop signs.

ENNIS stated he was passing through the area and observed the stopped motorist and dialed 911, advising of the motor vehicle crash.

WITNESS:
Brandy SOSNA was driving on SR 924 Southbound, travelling toward the "Y" intersection. SOSNA proceeded to the left and stopped at the stop sign and then exited the area continuing on SR 924 South. SOSNA stated that Unit #1 was behind her. SOSNA said she stopped for the stop sign and turned, She said she looked in her rear view and observed the vehicle travel straight through the intersection without stopping, at a high speed.
She stated the vehicle was observed striking the dirt bank, continuing up and over the embankment and then down the into the wooded area. Before the vehicle came to a rest it had struck a tree which de-rooted the tree and snapped the tree in two pieces. The majority of the tree had came to a rest on the roof of the Cadillac Escalade.

Adam LITWHILER stated he was behind the female. He said he did not observe the collision but when he stopped he observed and helped the female exit the Cadillac through the back
