One of the largest problems and questions faced around the world is terrorism and how should it be approached. Some Americans think that anyone affiliated with terrorism, or looks like they could be, should be detained immediately with no questions asked because they could potentially be trying to conduct an attack on the U.S.; however, any U.S. citizen should be allowed a trial on any crime they are convicted for. The government should not be allowed to detain suspected terrorists without trial because it is against the constitution, the person could be falsely accused, and they are only suspected, not proven terrorists.

Terrorists groups, such as Al Qaeda, train their members well and also have ways to make them less noticeable. In Critical Perspectives on Al Qaeda, April Isaacs explains how members of Al Qaeda are trained to stay quiet during interrogations. The author states, "Qaeda chieftains are schooled in resisting interrogations..." (Isaacs, 113).The example describes how the terrorists group, Al Qaeda, trains their members into keeping quiet. If someone was being falsely accused of terrorism, they wouldn't have a problem speaking up on what they know, while actual terrorists keep quiet and refuse to make any confessions. The Al Qaeda organization also has associates in the U.S. of many different genders, ages, and ethnicity. Issacs also states that, "They used women and family members as "support personnel." And they made an effort to find African American Muslims who would be sympathetic to Islamic extremism" (Isaacs, 114).The above example depicts that the organization is intelligent in their choice of members in hopes to guarantee secrecy.
