There are many reasons why students should be getting recess. One reason why students should have recess is because it can help their health and so that they can let out all their energy and run around. So then when in class they won't be running around or screaming and would be able to focus more and would be helping the class to not be chaotic. It's good for their health and it can increase their level of physical activity and help them stay healthy. students should be having recess because it can actually change them a bit and make them more focused. According to teachers at different schools, they have been saying that ever since recess, the kids have been less distracted, they make more eye contact and they tattle less, which helps the whole class get through stuff faster.

Another reason why students should be getting recess is because then the school could be saving a bit more money than normally. Most of the kids would always chew on the pencils or break them, they would be moving a lot and destroying paper sometimes. If they get a recess though, they would stop being quite destructive. Students have been falling into, onto or from the equipment and other problems. Because of this, it caused some schools to get rid of recess, but not every school got rid of recess. They should add recess back because the teachers should be watching the students and making sure they aren't getting into any kind of trouble. Instead of getting rid of recess, they should add rules that the students can follow and learn. For example, they can add a rule of no playing tag on the equipment or no climbing on high swings and structures.
