Ivan the Terrible Vs. Henry the Eighth Many years ago in the 1500’s two kings that were known to be very evil, were born. Today they are known as Ivan the Terrible and Henry the Eighth. However one of them was more evil than the other, and that is, Ivan the Terrible. Without a doubt Ivan is definitely more evil because he married and killed his wives more than Henry. He also took over many cities while Henry did not take over any. Ivan even killed more people than Henry including one of his own descendants!
Henry the Eighth and Ivan the Terrible had married several times and killed some of their wives, Henry had six wives throughout his lifetime and had murdered two of them, Anne, and Jane Seymour. Ivan, according to Thomas …show more content…
When Ivan took over Kazan city he had massacred most of its population, killing more in a single day. In other words Ivan killed more people than Henry the Eighth therefore making him more evil in yet another way.
Ivan not only killed thousands of people during war, he also did harm to his own descendants. After wearing indecent clothing, Ivan beat his daughter-in-law who at the time was pregnant. This harm lead to a miscarriage. After this Ivan’s oldest son got in an argument trying to defend his wife and, according to Cory from The Russian Blog, Ivan struck his son in the temple with a staff. He killed his own son! That is extremely evil!
Henry the Eighth makes Ivan the Terrible seem extremely evil for many reasons. Throughout his adulthood Ivan killed and remarried more woman than Henry did. Ivan succeeded at war and conquered two cities, while Henry failed in war. Henry killed 70,000 people but Ivan killed more in just a single day, and to top it all off, Ivan beat his pregnant daughter-in-law and killed his own son. All of these facts and comparisons prove one thing, Ivan the Terrible is without a doubt more evil than Henry the

An FBI agent examines a potentially contaminated letter during a white powder training exercise. 2012 The FBI Story I A Message from FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, III For the FBI and its partners, 2012 was a year that reminded us once again of the seriousness of the security threats facing our nation. During the year, extremists plotted to attack—unsuccessfully, thanks to the work of our Joint Terrorism Task Forces—the U.S. Capitol, the New York Federal Reserve Bank, and other landmarks on U.S. soil. Tragically, on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, a hateful attack in Benghazi took the lives of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans. In the cyber realm, a rising tide of hackers took electronic aim at global cyber infrastructure, causing untold damages. High-dollar white-collar crimes of all kinds also continued to siphon significant sums from the pocketbooks of consumers. And in Newtown, Connecticut, 20 young children and six adults lost their lives in one of the worst mass shootings in American history, ending a year of violence that saw similar tragedies around the country. Working with its colleagues around the globe, the FBI is committed to taking a leadership role in protecting the nation. As you can see from...

...CRIME, PROCEDURE AND EVIDENCE IN A COMPARATIVE AND INTERNATIONAL CONTEXT This book aims to honour the work of Professor Mirjan Damaška, Sterling Professor of Law at Yale Law School and a prominent authority for many years in the fields of comparative law, procedural law, evidence, international criminal law and Continental legal history. Professor Damaška’s work is renowned for providing new frameworks for understanding different legal traditions. To celebrate the depth and richness of his work and discuss its implications for the future, the editors have brought together an impressive range of leading scholars from different jurisdictions in the fields of comparative and international law, evidence and criminal law and procedure. Using Professor Damaška’s work as a backdrop, the essays make a substantial contribution to the development of comparative law, procedure and evidence. After an introduction by the editors and a tribute by Harold Koh, Dean of Yale Law School, the book is divided into four parts. The first part considers contemporary trends in national criminal procedure, examining cross-fertilisation and the extent to which these trends are resulting in converging practices across national jurisdictions. The second part explores the epistemological environment of rules of evidence and procedure. The third part analyses human rights standards and the phenomenon of hybridisation in transnational and international criminal law. The final part of the book assesses Professor...
