Love, hate, and death. A common yet horrible combination. Two lovers fall madly in love just to fall to their death. An intense feeling of deep affection is the definition of love, a feeling of fondness, tenderness, and warmth. A feeling of intenseness or passionate dislike towards someone is essentially hatred, a feeling of loathe, detest, and despise. And death is the action or fact of dying or being killed; the end of the life of a person or organism, one word to describe it all is the end. Romeo and Juliet met and fell madly in love, some people would state it all true love first sight. At the end of the book both characters kill themselves because they couldn’t be together. The three characters who are most responsible for the tragic ending …show more content…
Tybalt played a good part in Juliet and Romeo’s death. The first reason is because of Tybalt's strong unnecessary hatred towards Romeo. Romeo hasn’t done really anything to Tybalt other than being a Montague which isn’t Romeo’s fault but faiths. For example Tybalt intimately tried to go straight for Romeo at Juliet's ball to start commotion because he despises him and he’s a Montague. The second reason is because Tybalt is too content on fighting, he wanted to fight Romeo so bad it led to him ruining things for Romeo and also ruining things for himself. An example is when Tybalt challenges Romeo to a duel, when he says “Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries that thou hast done for me. Therefore turn and draw” (Act II, Scene I). Finally, the third is that Tybalt is too focused on Romeo’s image. Tybalt played a big part of their death, he couldn’t let go of his hatred towards Romeo, fighting Romeo, and the fact that he was a …show more content…
The Friar was the one who encouraged Romeo and Juliet’s marriage, “In one respect I’ll thy assistant be, For this alliance may so happy prove, To turn your household’s rancor to pure love.” (Act 3, Scene 1). He told Romeo that if Juliet, and him were to get married it would stop the fitting between their families. Second example is when the Friar gave Juliet a potion to make her fall into a deep sleep. The potion was part of their plan to get Romeo and Juliet together, the Friar should’ve known with such a crazy plan it would not work out. He wasn’t thinking out the plan well, it was quickly put together and poorly planned. Third reason is the Friar plan also failed because his letter never even got to Romeo, when he finds out he yells, “O vicious fortune!” (Act 3, Scene 1). At that moment he realizes that he messed up, Romeo didn’t receive his letter, so that means he thinks Juliet's

She divulges her nervousness in a soliloquy and invites night to teach her how to tame her racing emotions. Come, civil night, Thou sober-suited matron, all in black, And learn me how to lose a winning match, Played for a pair of stainless maidenhoods. Romeo and Juliet “love” each other, but in reality would a couple really commit suicide to express their love for eachother. In the Glencoe Literature “The reader's choice” page 778 lines 92-96 it states that Juliet had drank some sort of distilling liquor, putting her into some sort of coma. Well, back in that era and time people could see if somebody’s heart was beating through a pulse, and Juliet obviously didn’t have one. Only the Montague family is originally from Verona, while the Capulet family is from Brescia. The oldest known story of Romeo and Juliet states that Pyramus and Thisbe lived in Babylon and Ctesias, this means that the two feuding families were from two different cities. There were no reports of fighting between the Capuleti & Montecchi in the courtyard entrance, so...

Similarities Between Romeo And Juliet And Much Ado About Nothing

...After watching Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing, I noticed lots of differences and similarities. Some similarities I noticed were that the main characters fall in love with each other and they are too scared to confess it to others. When Claudio and Hero meet, they fall in love with each other, then break apart, then fall in love again. Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing are both love stories written by William Shakespeare, but they are portrayed very differently. Romeo and Juliet are constantly struggling with their love and Beatrice and Benedict are tricked into falling in love. Shakespeare’s plays both involve characters falling in love at first sight, manipulation of love, and other extra details. But Romeo and...

There are many interpretations of Romeo and Juliet, one of the most widely recognised being Baz Luhrmann’s version. In comparing the Shakespearean Romeo and Juliet to Luhrmann’s version there are many similarities and differences. These are in relation to many aspects of the play including; the setting, costume and props, sound and visual effects and the script itself. Baz Luhrmann has made these changes to the original play to help modern audiences understand ‘Romeo and Juliet. Setting is a key element in both the original and modern version. While the original Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona, Italy, the modernised version sets the film in Verona Beach, California. Despite having the same name, there is a substantial difference in the location of the sets. The depiction of what Mantua and the kind of location is another key difference in terms of the set. Shakespeare portrays Mantua as another city in his play where in Baz Luhrmann’s version Mantua is shown as an isolated barren location. Compare Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing

...Compare Romeo And Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing           There are many similarities between Shakespeare's Much Ado About  Nothing  and Romeo and Juliet.  Was this Intentional or Accidental? Even though  Much Ado About Nothing is a comedy, and Romeo and Juliet, is one of his saddest  tragedies, the two plots share many common incidents. Did Shakespeare mean to  have these coincidences or did they happen by accident? In both of his dramatic  works, the Masque is a key element furthering the infatuation of the lovers.  Also the balcony scenes in both plays are crucial because without them the plot  could never have reached its denouement. It seems that God came into both of  the plays in the spirit of the friars, because they had good plans to keep love  together.           In both plays, the masque functions as a dramatic device which initiates  the love plot. It occurs in a social gathering, but not without the help of  costumes. If it were not for costumes the result of love might have been  drastically different. How was the masque used to get lovers together? In the  case of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo hears about the masque and decides to go,  thinking that he might be able to get away with this scheme. Upon entering he  sees Juliet and right away, he knows it is love. If he had not worn the costume,  the hosts might have ejected him from the party and he might not have met  Juliet. Much Ado About Nothing has...

Romeo 1984

...There are a lot of similarities between these two ill-fated couples, the first being that they are in fact ill-fated. That means that both of their romances end badly, either in the death of their bodies or souls. A second similarity is that their loves were forms of rebellion, forbidden in their society at the time. They had to meet in secret, love in secret, and fear discovery at the hands of those who forbade their relationships. A third similarity is that their initial attraction was mostly physical; Romeo is struck with Juliet's beauty and thinks he is in love. Later, they build on that initial attraction and form a more solid and mature connection. It is the same with Winston and Julia; their first real meeting involves merely a physical encounter; later, they establish an emotional and mental connection. Differences between these two relationships are that in the case of Winston and Julia, they betray each other and their love in the end; Romeo and Juliet did not, staying true through death. In Romeo and Juliet it was their families who disagreed with the match; with Winston and Juliet it was the government. Romeo and Juliet are much, much younger, young teenagers. Then, Romeo and Juliet's love forged a bond between warring families; the example of their love for each other was so powerful that it changed hearts and lives of many, many people. This is not hte case with Winston and Julia; their story ends more sadly, even though they do not die. Even love wasn't...
