The Siqueiros Experimental Workshop
After his deportation from Mexico in 1933 Siqueiros traveled to Uruguay and Argentina where he was again deported due to his ongoing political activities. He then moves to New York in 1936 where he founded Siqueiros Experimental Workshop. Here he taught and trained students new techniques, materials and methods. He encouraged the use industrial materials, silicate paint, thinners , etc. Jackson Pollock was also among the many young students that attended his workshop, it is said that he learned his famous dripping technique in the Siqueiros Experimental Workshop.
