Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet
Part 1
For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.
Physical health: I am happy with my body size and weight. Through my younger years I was always trying to stay thin at any means and any cost. Now that I am older and wiser I have come to the conclusion that I am who I am and I am very happy with myself.
Social health: I am open, honest, and get along with others. As my life has changed through out the years I find that it is better to be open and honest with others. I find no reason to try to keep lies straight. If you are honest there is no problem.
Intellectual health: I like to be involved in different activities that allow me to use my creativity and interact with other people.
Environmental health: I live in Georgia and do believe that all the wood burning that takes place here does affect my breathing and lung function.
Emotional health: I avoid using alcohol or any other mood altering drugs. I find that with a foggy mind you can not think clearly. Your thoughts are not as affective as they would be in your normal state.
Spiritual health: I go for the gusto and experience life at fullest. I have recently found GOD; I know he would want me to do my best in all I do. Live my life to the fullest.
