Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet

Part 1

For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in Health for explanations of these dimensions.

Physical health: I try to exercise when I can I definitely need to improve my physical health.

Social health: hanging out with my best friend and being honest is a huge stress reliever. So I think my social health is okay.

Intellectual health: I read several hours a day. I believe this makes me stronger intellectually.

Environmental health: Keeping my environment clean and happy is a must.

Emotional health: I try to not keep so much bottled up inside. Reading I have found that it keeps me emotionally stable.

Spiritual health:
I do not have a religion. I believe you do good and good will come to you. I try to treat people the way I want to be treated. I do not pray or meditate.

Part 2

In approximately 125 to 200 words, describe health and wellness in your own words using the ideas and concepts for each of the six dimensions of health.

I believe that your overall health is reflects your physical, social, intellectual, environmental, emotional, and spiritual health. If you have and maintain all six dimensions of health, than you are creating a healthy life for yourself. When you take care of yourself physically, than you can increase your longevity. You can do this by exercising daily, seeing you doctors, eating healthy, and staying up on you
