Values Values are the backbone that keeps a company moving forward. It is what consumers, stakeholders, and staff takes into consideration when either choosing this organization to dine in, work at, or invest in. The Slam Drunk Sports Bar & Grill has many values embedded into the organization. They start with putting the consumer first. The whole organization is in place to serve the customers during their enjoyment of good food and sports entertainment. Employees are treated with dignity and respect and will show the same type of respect to its customers. Helping the communities it serves by investing back 5% of the profit it gains on a yearly basis through nonprofit organizations is a way of establishing a good report in the community. The Slam Drunk will also help the environment by recycling and reducing waste. Operating the business in accordance by the highest ethical standards and laws is also a primary focus for The Slam Drunk Sports Bar & Grill. These guidelines will be met in every location and community it serves in. The company’s culture will demand legal compliance, ethical standards, and responsibility. Gaining the competitive advantage goes along by our employees following the mission statement and goals that have been noted by the board of directors of the company. Employees are encouraged to turn their rational ideas into actions and thus allowing the company to grow. Using a SWOT analysis, the organization can understand the strengths and weaknesses of the company, thus allowing them to fulfill the company’s objectives. Knowing the threats and opportunities will also help the company grow and surpass the competitors in the industry. By developing and using the unique resources, skills, and capabilities of the company to its maximum potential will help the competitive advantage of the company (Pearce II & Robinson, pg. 184, 2009). Conclusion
These benchmarks are a necessity for any business to achieve success. Establishing a mission statement gives the company something to move forward on. It cements the goals moving forward toward a financially stable company. The vision is what helps build around the mission of the company by clearing the road of any roadblocks and help get to the final objective. It answers the question of why the company is doing what it is doing (Gottlieb, 2007). What is the objective of the company and how it plans to get to the objective? Then the question becomes, what values need to be present for the mission statement and the vision statement to come to fruition? This relies heavily on the ethical values and laws it instates within the company. The values of the organization should be engraved in the minds of every employee throughout the company. These three statements will allow the company to move forward and help with the decision-making process of the company. Communities will approve the company’s objective and will allow it to grow. With these benchmarks, The Slam Drunk Sports Bar & Grill will have the opportunity to compete with industry leading companies throughout the United States. These benchmarks create the foundation a company needs to become successful and competitive for years to come.

Personal Narrative: My First Tennis Racquet

...I picked up my first tennis racquet when I was four years old; I started taking lessons when I was eight, and by twelve, I was playing tournaments sponsored by the United States Tennis Association. Sometime between then and now, I reached my highest ranking of about forty in New England. Throughout my tennis, I have been immersed in a community of fellow players. Within this group, I have my own niche. I bring energy into the group. Tennis, being a sport of strategy and technique, can get repetitive. Simple drills can run for hours in an attempt to improve one shot. This is where I come in. The foremost purpose of the serve is to successfully hit the ball into the opponents serve box. In terms of offence the serve lets the player assert control of the ball, dictating as to how their opponents must counteract while minimising the reaction time due to the immense amounts of velocity delivered behind the ball if done correctly. There are many different variations of the serve such has utilising a slice technique in order to cause the ball have topspin which adds to the unpredictability of the serve in turn making it harder for their opponent to return. The serve can be deconstructed into four stages, this consist of the wind-up, force generation and finally the recovery phases. With an in depth biomechanical analysis of my personal service technique I can break down the various skills that need to be acquired in order to attain a more effective technique. The primary purpose of the windup phase is being able to create an appropriate amount of force for the serve. “The combination of forces produced by different parts of the human body. ...Nike Basketball and Accessories Our Marketing plan is to sell Nike Basketballs, rims, nets, shirts, socks, shoes, and head bands. The main purpose is to promote the basketball and tell you why Nike is different from our competitors. A basketball is an inflated ball used in the game of basketball. Basketballs typically range in size from very small promotional items possibly only a few inches in diameter to extra large balls nearly a foot in diameter used in training exercises to increase the skill of players. The standard size of a basketball in the NBA is 29.5 inches in circumference. Nearly all basketballs have an inflatable inner rubber bladder, generally wrapped in layers of fiber and then covered with a tacky surface made either from leather (traditional), rubber, or a synthetic composite. As in most inflatable balls, there is a small opening to allow the pressure to be increased or decreased. The surface of the ball is nearly always divided by "ribs" that are recessed below the surface of the ball in a variety of configurations and are generally a contrasting color. An orange surface with black ribs and a possible logo is the traditional color scheme of basketballs but they are sold in various colors. Balls are generally designated for indoor (generally made of leather or absorbent composites), or all-surface use (generally made of rubber or durable composites, also known as Indoor/Outdoor balls). Indoor balls tend to be considerably more expensive than all-surface...
