...means to promote personal, physical, emotional, and mental growth in a child that is otherwise therapy resistant. In an Autistic child who is non-verbal, has poor social skills, and is inflexible with routines and schedules, Equine assisted therapy is a big step towards personal growth. When a child participates in Equine therapy they learn a sense of responsibility by learning how to properly care for and clean up after the horses. They develop a sense of belonging, of feeling like they finally fit in somewhere because they are constantly surrounded by the same people, who don't make fun of them, and are in a way just like them. Gradually and continuously participating in this type of therapy gives a child a humongous self-esteem boost because once they are able to conquer the ability to control an animal that is ten times their size, in their mind they are able to conquer and overcome anything that's thrown in front of them. It has been proven that when a child who is autistic or has disabilities engages in Equine assisted therapy, their communication, overall physical and behavioral skills increase dramatically. For example, for a child who has physical disabilities, riding a horse tremendously improves balance, coordination, sensory motor skills and posture. "Being on the horse has improved her sense of balance tremendously. At one time she had to think about sitting up, and if she relaxed she would begin to tumble to one side. Sitting up straight has become a natural response...

...IMPACT OF WORK LIFE BALANCE ON WORKING WOMEN: AN OVERVIEW Dr. Anju Sigroha*, Ms. Yogita Girdhar** and Dr. Sneha Sangwan*** ABSTRACT Female participation in the workplace has grown dramatically over the past couple of decades. This growth has been especially noticeable in the professional and managerial fields where women now occupy a significant number of positions. The increased female workforce participation has been accompanied by its own challenges like managing time, roles & responsibilities at workplace & at home. Work life balance is seen more as women issue due to the traditional mindset, where the woman is considered primarily responsible for the smooth running of the day to day affairs of the family irrespective of her job profile and official responsibilities. However, over the years, women have started receiving support & understanding at home, especially from their spouses. Nonetheless, there are some unspoken challenges which need to be dealt with constantly. If family responsibilities are allowed to interfere with work responsibilities on a regular basis, it may hinder women’s career progression, lower the job satisfaction levels, result in lack of concentration at work, increase absenteeism & may eventually lead to turnover. No matter how well they prove themselves, women find it increasingly difficult to climb up the career ladder as they are perceived to be more committed towards family than workplace. Even at family front, a working woman has to always...

...between daily cash balance and monthly closing cash balance A. CASH BALANCE: For each State Government, the RBI maintains what is the called the Principal Government Deposit Account (PGDA), which is the cash account of the Government. The PGDA is fed by three subsidiary accounts i.e. • the PAD (ie., Balances held at RBI offices (RBI counters across the Country)), • IGTA (Inter Government Transaction Account), and • Agency Bank transactions (transactions reported by the Treasuries). These three accounts are affected daily and the cash balance for each day is calculated. However, the balances in each of these accounts are transferred after designated intervals to the PGDA and PGDA is updated only periodically. A monthly closing cash balance for the PGDA is calculated, although with a lag. • The PAD transactions are transferred to PGDA Account by CAS,RBI Nagpur on the last day of each month, including for the month of March each year.. • Inter Governmental Transaction Account balances (IGTA) and Agency Bank transactions are closed and balances transferred to PGDA on 11th of succeeding month. For the month of March, these are transferred on 15th/16 April of the succeeding year. • The monthly closing cash balance in PGDA will be calculated only by the 11th of the succeeding month. In case of March, it is by the 15th/16th of April of the next year. A. 2) DETERMINATION OF DAILY CASH BALANCE The...

...system we should be doing an inventory count often, especially if you believe we have a shoplifting issue going on. I used my records to give you my best count of the company’s net income. Bragg (2015) tells us, “A perpetual inventory system has the advantages of both providing up-to-date inventory balance information and requiring a reduced level of physical inventory counts. However, the calculated inventory levels derived by a perpetual inventory system may gradually diverge from actual inventory levels, due to unrecorded transactions or theft, so you should periodically compare book balances to actual on-hand quantities, and adjust the book balances as necessary.” To measure the amount of inventory shrinkage, conduct a physical count of the inventory and calculate its cost, and then subtract this cost from the cost listed in the accounting records. Divide the difference by the amount in the accounting records to arrive at the inventory shrinkage percentage. Since we use this method we should have a semi accurate count. If you truly feel I have miscalculated the net income than I recommend a store wide inventory at the end of each month or each year in order to adjust the book balance. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Ashley Learn Financial Officer Reference Bregg, S. (2015). The Perpetual Inventory System. Accounting Tools. Retrieved October 12, 2015, from...

...distribution line for the cheaper products was to large chains. In this industry the competition was intense. A lot of the competition came from companies that are overseas. Even with a lot of competition SureCut was able to show profits and sales growing steadily in every year since 1958. As a matter of policy the company produced at an even rate, accounting for the need of seasonal funds; despite the fact that, they were reporting sales and profit growth each year since 1958, and held sufficient capital to cover its permanent requirements. The short-term borrowings occurred most frequently in the period of July-December to cover the sales peak. The Hudson National Bank solicited SureCut Shears’ business due to their sizable deposit balances in its principal banks. In June 1995, The Hudson National Bank gave SureCut Shears $3.5 million dollars and an extra $1.2 million was forecasted by June 1996. There had been several assumptions made about the company and its financial needs for the upcoming years. The company had started a modernization program and it was assumed to save $900,000 per year. The modernization program half completed and anticipated to be finished by August 1995. No funds were required in June 1995, supporting the idea that the program was on track and on budget. The company seemed to be doing well so it was easy for the Hudson National Bank to continue doing business with SureCut Shears. In September 1995, SureCut Shears asked for an additional $500,000...

...1. Tables 1 through 5 contain the financial information describing the effects of level production on inventory, cash flow, loan balances, and interest expense. Reproduce these tables if Tim's suggestion were implemented; that is, change the Production This Month column in Table 2 from 400 each month to 150, 75, 25, and so on, to match Sales in the next column. Then recompute the remainder of Table 2, and Tables 3, 4, and 5 based on the new production numbers. Beginning inventory is still 400 units. Beginning cash is still $125,000 and that remains the minimum required balance. This is done on the attached excel file. 2. Given that Gale Force is charged 12 percent annual interest (1 percent a month) on its cumulative loan balance each month (Table 5), how much would Tim's suggestion save in interest expense in a year? The original interest amount is $254,250. With the new production, based on sales, the interest amount comes to $50,750. Savings in interest is $203,500 3. Up until now, we have not considered any inefficiencies that have been introduced as a result of going from level to seasonal production. Assume that there is an added expense for each sales dollar of .5 percent (.005). Based on this fact and the information computed in question 2, is seasonal production justified? The additional expense comes to $72,000 and the total interest comes to $51,924 ( due to more borrowing due to additional expense). The total expense is $123,924. The original interest...

...The head is about managing information and heart is about managing motivation. In the given situation to resolve conflict you will have to acquire all the information about the problem they are facing which is a head issue. This can be done by first doing homework of trying to get as much as information possible before the meeting. As a leader or authority use your authority to create situation to facilitate information sharing between the two parties i.e. get them together in a room for a dialogue. You will have to show fairness and sense of balance to both the parties to win confidence. Show them that you are there to hear from both the sides. Manage your tone to get more information from both sides. Your tone should be collaborative and not adversarial. Authority based discussions will make people anxious which in turn will hamper communication. Use all this information acquired to find out principles or interests, superordinate goals and to identify a position that satisfies interests of both the sides. Both the sides should be convinced that the decision satisfies their interests because just getting decision is not important. Having decision that cannot be implemented is as good as not having implementation as “Implementation is always hostage to enthusiasm”. This will motivate them to implement the decision which takes care of heart issue. Using polite threat is also sometimes effective. Explain to them what their BATNA (Best alternative to a negotiated agreement) is and...

...Todd’s worst fear is that his life has no meaning, and therefore, he has no verse to contribute. For example, after the first day of class, Todd writes “Carpe Diem” on his paper, dreaming of what it would be like if he, too, could contribute a verse and be great like those in the picture. His insecurity gets the better of him, though, and he throws out the paper believing he has nothing to contribute. Later, in class, after being asked to write a poem, Todd tells Keating he never completed the assignment after he spent many hours writing and revising his poem only to have thrown it away before class. This is a prime example of Todd’s struggle between romanticism and realism, where Todd begins dreaming of future possibilities and ways of expressing himself only to have his realistic expectations crash down on him and diminish his thoughts of potential greatness. Keating sees through Todd’s fear and first makes him yawp, and later makes him say whatever comes to mind. This is the beginning of the change in Todd. “I close my eyes and this image floats beside me The sweaty-toothed madman with a stare that pounds my brains His hands reach out and choke me And all the time he’s mumbling Truth, like a blanket that always leaves your feet cold. You push it, stretch it, it will never be enough Kick it beat it, it will never cover any of us. From the moment we enter crying, to the moment we leave dying, it will just cover your face as you wail and cry and scream.” In this...
