Should there be? Explain your answer. To get you started, here are basic online resources on the 3 peace- based terms above: Now that I understand the difference between peace keeping, making, and the building, I see that the military doesn’t play a role in any of it. Currently the United Nations (UN) in charge of all three. The only time the military is when needed, they have the military in place for peace enforcement, they are sent overseas to restore peace and security. I do think that the military should be used for more than just peace enforcement. As being a veteran of the military they prepare us for more than war and security tactics, they also prepare us for peace keeping and other tactics as well. When it’s time for the countries to go to war it’s not the people that making the negotiations going to war. I honestly think that the generals and high ranking officers of the military for each country should be doing the negotiating and keeping the peace, making peace and building peace.
