.The The softball tradition started by former Green Bay Packer receiver Donald Driver continues this year with the Jordy Nelson Charity Softball Game. The game celebrates sport, charity and generosity. This year the annual charity event will take place in the Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton on Sunday, June 12th. The softball game features the offense going up against the defense, making for a heated and competitive but always friendly game. The tickets range from $29 for grass seats and up to $150 for box seats. However, the profits are donated to a variety of local charities. One charity is Young Life, which is an organization that brings kids of all ages together with adults to focus on friendship, adventure and fun. The organization reaches over a million different kids annually. Originally started by Donald Driver, one of the franchises most beloved players in team history continues this year with Jordy Nelson. The charity softball game quickly gained recognition and support from the fans of Wisconsin. The game allows fans to donate their money to a cause that the Packers strongly believe in. The game allows fans to get an up close and personal look at the Packers that they are unable to get during the regular season. The excitement for the upcoming season is starting to heat up.
