MUUNGANO GROUP FURNITURE MANEGEMENT SYSTEM

SYSTEM ANALYST: Antony Njuguna
INDEX NUMBER: 4011620005 PROJECT TITLE: MUUNGANO GROUP FURNITURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
SUBJECT: COMPUTER PROJECT
PAPER: 451/3
YEAR: 2015

DEDICATION
I take this chance to bestow this project to my lovely parents, Mr. and Mrs. Festus; my fellow classmates as well, and most of all my computer teacher, Mr. Koech for the prop up and co-operation with guidance since the project started.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU …..!!!!!!!

AKNOWLEDGEMENT
I
am passing my sincere gratitude to all who have given me support through this busy period when I greatly needed it .I applaud the principal of Kahawa Garrison Secondary School, Mrs. Njagger and all the administration for providing all the necessary resources’. I cannot forget to entail my computer teacher, who guided me throughout this period of coming up with my project .I would like to pass my most ecstasy to the entire work force of carpenters in Kahawa Wendani for responding positively during the field research.

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Muungano group is a self-helpgroup made of school leavers. The aim of this group is to become self-reliant and attain financial independence by engaging in furniture making.
It was realized that the number of temporary carpenters and customers are increasing due to increasing demand of furniture. This has led to increase in record keeping which is bulky and consumes a lot of the limited space of storing record. Moreover, this has made the business inefficient. I came up with a furniture management system that will end all this problems and bring the business to its standards.

PROBLEM RECOGNITION
The problem that is to be solved is to create a management system that would enable efficient flow of day-to-day

Software Design and Documentation Essay

...Software Design and Documentation Fall 2010 Rohan Dhruva Question A: Songbird is a free and open source software audio player, whose development is sponsored by POTI Inc. Their mission is stated as "to incubate Songbird, the first Web player, to catalyse and champion a diverse, open Media Web." Songbird utilizes the cross-platform frameworks, Mozilla's XULRunner and GStreamer media framework, and is largely capable of running on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Solaris and Linux. The user interface of Songbird is similar to that of Apple iTunes. It also supports syncing its music library to iPods. Hence, many people have started using Songbird as an alternative to the closed source and bloated iTunes. Songbird can be downloaded from http://getsongbird.com/ User Stories: While Songbird has robust music library management, and can import the files on your hard disk to this library, it lacks the feature of importing songs from the iTunes library. This deters many new users from switching over to Songbird, because they fear losing their play count, “starred” songs, and stored metadata like lyrics and album information. Essentially all this information should be stored with the audio file itself, by making use of ID3 tags. iTunes, however, chooses to maintain this information both in its proprietary “itl” format, and as an XML file. To ease the transition for new users, Songbird should support importing from the user’s iTunes library. The other...

...contains information about other files in a directory or archive and is commonly distributed with computer software, forming part of its documentation. Such a file is usually a text file called README.TXT, README.md, README.1ST, READ.ME, or simply README, although some software may occasionally include a README.WRI, README.RTF, or README.DOC. The name is chosen so that users unaware of the existence of this type of file would be drawn to read it. README is traditionally written in upper case, so that on case-preserving environments that display files in an ASCIIbetical ordering by default, such as the ls command in Linux, the name will appear near the beginning of a directory listing (since upper-case letters sort before lower-case letters in ASCIIbetical ordering). Contents The contents typically include one or more of the following: Configuration instructions Installation instructions Operating instructions A file manifest (list of files included) Copyright and licensing information Contact information for the distributor or programmer Known bugs[1] Troubleshooting[1] Credits and acknowledgments A changelog (usually for programmers) A news section (usually for users) The expression "readme file" is also sometimes used descriptively and generically, whereby the files are not named "readme", but are considered types of readme files. The source code distributions of many free software packages, especially those following the Gnits Standards or those produced with GNU Autotools, include...

10 Grammar Mistakes That Make You Look Stupid

...10 Grammar Mistakes That Make You Look Stupid Version 1.0 May 23, 2005 These days, we tend to communicate via the keyboard as much as we do verbally. Often, we're in a hurry, quickly dashing off e-mails with typos, grammatical shortcuts (I'm being kind here), and that breezy, e.e. cummings, no-caps look. It's expected. It's no big deal. But other times, we try to invest a little care, avoiding mistakes so that there's no confusion about what we're saying and so that we look professional and reasonably bright. In general, we can slip up in a verbal conversation and get away with it. A colleague may be thinking, Did she just say "irregardless"?, but the words flow on, and our worst transgressions are carried away and with luck, forgotten. That's not the case with written communications. When we commit a grammatical crime in e-mails, discussion posts, reports, memos, and other professional documents, there's no going back. We've just officially gone on record as being careless or clueless. And here's the worst thing. It's not necessary to be an editor or a language whiz or a spelling bee triathlete to spot such mistakes. They have a way of doing a little wiggle dance on the screen and then reaching out to grab the reader by the throat. So here we are in the era of Word's red-underline "wrong spelling, dumb ass" feature and Outlook's Always Check Spelling Before Sending option, and still the mistakes proliferate. Catching typos is easy (although not everyone does it). It's the...

...SISTEMAS DE INFORMACION CALCULATING DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT COSTS 1. How should SSC prepare for a DMS if they decide to implement one? The Data Management Systems transforms the organization operations in many areas. The first one is cost reductions such as: reduced labor hours, reduced employees, reduced operational costs, warehouse costs and paper costs. Significantly reduced the inefficiencies and misplaced of paper workflows. According to Turban & Volonino (2011): “DMS can help a business to become more efficient and productive by the: enabling the company to access and use the content contained in the documents, reducing the time and effort required to locate information the business needs to support decision making, improving the security of the content and thereby reducing the risk of intellectual property theft.” (p.68) The DMS transformed the way that businesses operate, a part of the cost reduction can work more efficiently simply by accessing a database and avoid losing information as often happens in the papers. Spring Street Company should implement the DMS system. If the company decided to implement the major first step is figure out the workflows and processes to make that system meet its potential, and maximize its adoption. Also entered most of the old data and new data will be entered electronically. SSC will continue using paper but less than before the implement the new system. Introducion Al Eviews

Citizen-Schwarz AG Bank...
