Having the opportunity to observe Mrs. Trimble for a second time was great. She is a superb educator. She provided her own lesson and had me participate with the teaching. The lesson was on “What is Soil?”. In this essay it will discuss the experience of being mentored, learning support and social support Mrs. Trimble provided.
Mrs. Trimble showed how adaptable educators need to be to support the different ranges of students. She presented the lesson by going over what the students had learned the previous day and then built on it. She read a book called “What is Soil?” in a whole group setting. Students learned the different types, purposes and how soil is useful to them and the environment. An anchor chart was created for students
