“THE SONS OF HAM”
After the food, and the tower of Babel, God gave the offsprings of Ham’s families their lands, languages, and countries to inherit and settled. The offsprings of Ham were given the regions of Africa and the Middle-East for settlement. These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations (Genesis 10:6, 20). Through the names of the sons of Ham, we were able to trace their nations and geographical locations.

“CUSH”
Cush was the first son of Ham and the ancestor of Ethiopia, Sudan, Babylon, dark skinned Asians and the Arab nations (Genesis 10:6-12). “MIZRAIM”
Mizraim was the second son of Ham and the ancestor of Egypt, Philistines and the Arab Nations …show more content…
The scripture told us that the first river mentioned was Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah which is known today to be the (Blue-Nile). These river in Amharic is known to be the “Abbay” river which originated at Lake-Tana and it is located in Ethiopia connecting to the White Nile (Genesis 2:11-12). The bible told us that Havilah whose river was in Eden was the second son of Cush, the ancestor of the Ethiopians (Genesis 10:6-7). The Bible also clearly told us that the land of Havilah the son of Ethiopia-Cush was located before Egypt which was an ancient African city (Genesis 25:18). “ETHIOPIA”
The bible told us that the second river that watered the garden of Eden was Gihon, which compassed or surrounded the whole land of Ethiopia, and these river is known to be the White-Nile which is also connected with the Blue Nile (Genesis 2:13). The Pison and the Gihon are both known as the Nile river which flows throughout the regions and territories of East Africa and it is known as the longest river in the world today.
The land of Ethiopia had existed even before Adam and Eve was created. As soon the first human ancestors were created by God a garden was planted for them in the eastward of Eden and the river which was in Eden that watered their garden surrounds the whole land of Ethiopia in East Africa. Thus meaning that the land of Ethiopia was God’s chosen place for the birth of humanity before there was any known Ethiopian was ever created nor existed (Genesis

Babylon and the Old Empire

...Research Paper The Babylonian Empire and the Old Testament Submitted to Dr. Curtis Fitzgerald, Ph.D, In partial fulfillment of the requirements for the completion of the course OBST 520 LUO (Summer 2014) Old Testament Orientation II Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary Marcus Banks-Bey_L2444950 June 29, 2014 Thesis Statement This research paper will discuss, and review the history of the Babylion Empire, its rulers, and the Empire’s influential relationship upon some of the major events which developed within Old Testament literature. Introduction Through my research, it is my intent to identify significant points within the history of the Babylion Empire, including its origins, development, expansion, eventual decline, and why it became a focal point of many of the major events of the Old Testament. From the Great Empire of Akkad, Babylon became a major seat of learning, culture, and technology. More than simply a city-state of defiance, and sinful practices, Babylon’s influence, very often viewed through a negative scholarly lens, shaped the history of Asia Minor, Northern Africa, and the world when approached from a biblical standpoint. As such, Babylon remains a critical, powerful nation in relation to its nation-state of Israel, and Old Testament history. Nimrod The Cushite The first nation-state identified within contemporary Biblical literature is the land that is “Ethiopia”, as mentioned...

Holocaust was a period of unspeakable horror and infernal ramifications which were not only felt across Europe but also in places like Laos. When I began this term paper, it was meant to be a study of the literature pertaining to this period of Nazi regime in Poland during World War II. What it turned out to be was a account of implacable and starkly real evil. A subject that has inspired countless movies, novels, real-life accounts, memoirs and poems, the holocaust continues to haunt the imagination of the world even today. It is not history bygone and forgotten, it is a demon that could never be truly obliterated from the lives and minds of the people. ...Published on Graphic Novel Reporter (http://graphicnovelreporter.com) Why Comics Make Reading Fun “Wak!” “Crunch!” and “Glom!” taught Vicky Smith how to read. “For end-of-the-day snuggling with my mother,” she relates, “Uncle Scrooge comics were our stories of choice. When I was about four, she started me out reading the sound effects to give me practice in phonetics as well as an opportunity to participate. One magical night, I apparently turned to her and said, ‘Now, I will read Huey, Louie, and Dewey, and you read Uncle Scrooge and Donald.’ And from that moment on, I was a reader, and she proselytized the Gospel of Uncle Scrooge to all of her friends!” As for Vicky, it was a fine literary beginning for the future Children’s Editor of Kirkus Reviews. Comics Teaching Words   Other adult word professionals boast similar “origin stories” for reading. “You’d be surprised,” Diamond Comics’ John Shableski told GNR last August in his Op Ed on Kids, Graphic Novels and Publishing, “at how many mainstream authors fell in love with reading books because of comics. I see them at comics conferences, where they recall...their favorite comic characters with warmth, passion, and enthusiasm.” Cartoonist Phil Yeh, dyslexic himself, says, "Ray Bradbury and many others have told me that they themselves fell in love with comics, especially comic strips, when they were young and then found themselves checking out other books in the library, becoming life-long readers."   Some of these young...

However, when she found out they had both puled out of high school, she refused to sign the adoption papers. The standoff lasted two weeks until Joanne relented at the couples promise to make a savings account for the boy’s college funds even though they weren’t particularly wealthy. It wasn’t until his thirty’s that Jobs met his real mother, Joanne Simpson (as she was called before she was married). Jobs knew from an early age that he was adopted, as his parents were always quite open with it. He once said ‘I never felt abandoned, even though I was different from the rest of the kids’. However, he does remember sitting in the front garden talking and playing with a girl from across the road. When he told the girl he was adopted, she said ‘So does that mean your parents really didn’t want you?’ Jobs ran inside crying and his parents reassured him by saying ‘We specifically picked you out’. Job’s dad always tried to get his son into cars, which was his personal passion, but Jobs was never interested. Instead, his dad provided him with small, broken electronic gismos, which he took apart. Jobs always considered himself lucky to be growing up in Santa Clara Valley, a place where there were many other engineers and people who shared his interests. Jobs once called Bill Hewlett the founder...

Mcdonald’s: Behind the Golden Arches

...McDonald’s: Behind The Golden Arches “Since 1955, we’ve been proud to serve the world some of its favourite food. And along the way, we’ve managed not just to live history, but create it:  from drive-thru restaurants to Chicken McNuggets to college credits from Hamburger U and much more. It’s been quite the journey, and we promise this is just the beginning-we’ve got our hearts set on making more history” (McDonald’s Corporation, 2011). Almost 60 years have passed since Raymond Kroc envisioned a nationwide fast food chain, which needless to say went on to revolutionise the American restaurant industry and become the world’s number #1 fast food restaurant. Today McDonald’s serves 52 million people a day from one of its 31,000 restaurants dotted around the world (Ritabrata Giiosii, R.G. 2009).  The golden arches along with Ronald McDonald and the catch phrase “I’m lovin’ it” have assisted McDonald’s in becoming one of the most globally recognised brands, allowing them to become McDonald’s most valuable intangible assets, but how did they do it? Countless elements threaten McDonald’s reputation; health issues, legal and technological changes, social factors, environmentalists and obviously competitors especially those who offer similar services and products such as KFC. They too have become a national brand recognized all around the world however to understand how McDonalds have achieved such success we must first understand what they do differently and what objectives...
