Casa de muñecas se abre en la víspera de Navidad. Nora Héller entra en su habitación bien amueblada-ajuste de los vivos de los palay-llevando varios paquetes enteros. Toral Héller, el marido de Nora, sale de su estudio cuando oye su llega. Él la saluda alegremente y con afecto, pero entonces su reprende por gastar tanto dinero en los regalos de Navidad. Su conversación revela que los Héller han tenido que ser cuidadoso con el dinero durante muchos años, pero que Toral ha obtenido recientemente una nueva posición en el banco donde trabaja que les brindará un estilo de vida más cómodo.
Heleno, la criada, anuncia que querido amigo los Héller 'Dr. Rank ha venido a visitar. Al mismo tiempo, otro visitante ha llegado, éste desconocido. Ella explica que ellos eran muy pobres y ambos tenían que trabajar largas horas. Toral se enfermó, añade, y la pareja tuvo que viajar a Italia para que Toral pudiera recuperarse.
Nora se informa más sobre la vida de la señora Linde, y la señora Linde explica que durante años tuvo que cuidar a su madre enferma y sus dos hermanos menores. Ella afirma que su madre ha fallecido, sin embargo, y que los hermanos son demasiado viejos para necesitarla. Those verbs are venir, which means to come and ir, which means to go. To put those present progressive, you must put it into simple present tense verbs. For every verb that ends in a vowel, you must change it into “-yendo” instead of “-iendo” because of the present participle. An example of the present progressive is with cantar. Since this verb ends in with “-ar”, you must change the verb from cantar to cantando, but with the correct form of estar before it. The participles of stem-changing verbs like pedir, dormir, and servir change the “o” to “u” and the “e” to “i” then add the “-iendo” to the end. An example of this is that dormir changes to durmiendo and servir changes to sirviendo. Direct object and reflexive pronouns can go before the form of estar or can be attached to the end of the present participle. When it is attached, you must put an accent mark over the stressed vowel. For example, la estoy haciendo changes to estoy haciendola. Lastly, the present progressive cannot be used for what is going to happen; instead, the simple present tense is used. It will endeavor to show the implications of the Spanish Inquisition and how it was ultimately used as a device in its own undoing. Such an examination helps to explain the use of Church authority in secular governing, and later the separating of the Church from the crown. The paper will also take a closer look at this racial injustice in an attempt helping to see just how this may happen again if not understood and foreseen. The Church since its origins has suffered from the attack of heretics and their heresies, which have, caused many controversies and schisms within it. The Spanish Inquisition was independent of the medieval Inquisition, which evolved in the Middle Ages as an effective means of coping with the problem of heresy, which became a serious menace to the Catholic Church in the twelfth century. The fame of the Spanish Inquisition, as Ferdinand and Isabella established it at the close of the fifteenth century, was directed at Jewish merchant and Muslim traders, even under reluctant approval of Sixtus IV. ...Senecan elements in The Spanish Tragedy The Spanish Tragedy belongs to a class of drama known as the revenge play, which comes from the pen of Thomas Kyd (1558-1594). Almost all the English playwrights of that time followed the Classical playwrights, Classical tragedies. Kyd also did the same. Especially he followed Roman playwright Lucius Annaneus Seneca (4BC-65AD) blindly. So he is called The English Seneca.           Seneca was also a Roman Stoic philosopher. Primly he wrote tragic dramas. His dramas were full of melodramatic elements, such as, blood-shed, killing, assassination, horror scenes, etc. For these reasons his dramas are suitable for only to read in chamber or in closed room. Let us now have a brief discussion about the elements of Seneca used by Kyd in his play The Spanish Tragedy.           In all the plays of Seneca we find the revenge theme. Revenge was the main plot, main motive in his plays. Like him, Kyd also used the revenge theme. As we find The Ghost of Andrea, Bel-Imperia, Horatio, Isabella and Hieronimo all the characters want to take revenge. Though we see that the climates are different, but their motive is same.
