While many of the groupos struggle, Namond is seen as a leader and is able to help his group remain calm and focused on completeing the model of the ifle otwer. When the group goes to dinner they are quickly overwellmed. I believe that they feared being judged by a group of people they perceived as not carring, judging, or fearing them. Even after dinner the one girl in the group no longer wants to take a picture because she is embarrassed. In order to cope with his feelings of insecurity and fear Namond reverts to opposing the nearest male authority figure by turning the music up when he is asked to turn it down by the instructor.
