As of 2013, Danielle Eby organized the sports demographics in her article, “2013 Sports Fan Demographics”, Major League Baseball has the second oldest crowd associated with it, right behind the Professional Golfers Association. 50 percent of baseball fans are 55 or older, only about 24 percent are under the age of 34. Which is a much lower percentage than the National Hockey League, with 37 percent of their fans being less than 34 years old. Major League Soccer has almost double the amount of fan viewers under 34, with 40 percent of the demographic being fans of the MLS. The National Football League is one sport that was actually surprising, anticipating that it would have a majority of its fans being under the age of 34, it actually only has 29 percent of the population identifying as viewers, which is still 5 percent more than Major League Baseball. Finally, the sport with the most viewers under the age of 34 is the National Basketball Association. The NBA has about 45 percent of its fans below the age of 34 (Eby). What are the contributions for this? The peak of baseball was in the mid to late 1900’s which is when the baby boomer generation was young kids to teenagers, so they were growing up in the heyday of Major League Baseball. When it comes to the younger generations, they have grown up in the prime of other sports. With Generation Y growing up in the prime of Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Lebron James all making basketball something that it was not in the years prior, so many the people that were growing up with these sports icons are under the age of 34 and identify with these teams and the sport more than those of the baby boomer generation identify with Major League

The main page of the website has a large scrolling picture marquee that shows the various recent accomplishments of many of the sport teams at Arizona State.
