EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Starbucks has been one of most popular coffeehouses in the world. They started their business as just a coffee-bean retailer. This didn’t last long. Howard Schultz came to the company in 1981 to change things and that he did. After leaving and then returning to Starbucks in 1987 he decided after a trip to Rome that Starbucks needed to go in a different direction. This is the direction they are still at today.
