The sensor was carefully placed so that the edges were not tucked under the foam, but were laid out. Then, a Barbie was placed in the center of the sensor, without letting any part of the doll fall over the edge. Three 2.5 lb. circular weights were put on top of the doll, where one weight had a slightly larger diameter than the other two. The weight with the largest diameter was put on top of the legs of the Barbie, where the front edge was lined up with her ankles and the back edge landed on her mid-thigh. The second weight was put on her upper body where the front edge reached her belly button and the back edge landed on her hairline. The last weight was put on top of the other two weights so if someone was looking into the center of its hole, they would be able to see her pelvic area. The three weights were positioned so that they were lined up with the center line of the Barbie’s body, so they would not tip over, touch the sensor, or cause an uneven force on the different sides of the doll’s body.
