...Dear, Mr Cardamone, I understand you’re having trouble deciding whether chocolate milk should stay in school or not. But, compared to most of the food in this school, chocolate milk is secretly the healthiest! For example, Chocolate milk has good nutrients for making kids stronger, adding on to this, when you drink chocolate it adds little to no sugar to your diet! In addition to this, Chocolate milk increase consumption of milk, which is really hard for a lot of kids! My first reason for why chocolate milk should stay is, The nutrients that chocolate milk leaves. Chocolate milk is full of good stuff, for example, vitamins D, B12, and Vitamin A, and that's just three of the 9 essential nutrients it leaves! In addition to this It's also loaded with Calcium, which helps you have stronger bones and makes you feel a lot better and healthier! According to Harvard T.H Chan, “Calcium is a mineral that the body needs for numerous functions, including building and maintaining bones and teeth, blood clotting, the transmission of nerve impulses, and the regulation of the heart’s rhythm.” This means that Calcium helps with all sorts of body “problems.” For example, like building healthy bones and teeth and helping stop blood clots!...

If you do you will get behind then get stuck doing homework at one in the morning. And if you do procrastinate still do your homework. If you don’t do your homework, which you are to not suppose have, you’ll get a detention and that's no fun. If you do get a detention still be respectful to your teachers. ...Immigrants should stay “More than 11.7 million immigrants from Mexico resided in the United States in 2014, according to the ACS, accounting for 28 percent of all U.S. immigrants.” I’m arguing to let immigrants stay in the united states. My reasons is based on the information I have gathered to explain why I’m writing this so immigrants can stay in the U.S. The more deportation that happens keeps happening the more families are being ripped apart and leaving children in foster care. The total cost for each child is about close to 26,000 per year to be in foster care. They’re more organizations are that willing to help out immigrants dealing with immigration problems by the basis that all immigrants matter. There are economic...

...had to stay at school? What if you have to stay for tutorial or sport practice? Even though going to school later seems cool, the time of school is right where it is supposed to be. Later times in school results in tired students and unnecessarily late dismal times. School is scheduled strategically for the wellbeing of students and the staff, so changing the time will have several consequences. Early is on time, and on time is late. With school times being later, students will be more lax and less focused on the lesson. Therefore, school should not be held at a later time. This is necessary because students will be able to have more time after school to complete tasks and do their hobbies. In addition, students who come out of school earlier, are happier than those who have to arrive and stay at school longer. Furthermore, it is scientifically proven that early times have little to no effect on the academics of a student. Finally, while starting school later gives students more time to sleep, it ultimately can cause a large disruption in the schedule of parents and transportation. There are several...

...(Start school later). Many kids and teens are sleep deprived because of the times they have to get up in the morning for school. With homework, sports, jobs, and other things kids have to get done at home before it’s time for them to go to bed it could be very challenging for them to get to bed at a normal time. Middle schools should start later in the morning because it is too early for kids to get up and get ready, students need to be more awake and focused in class and on school work, and it is hard for students to get to class on time when tired. It is too early for kids to...

...getting up in the morning for school at all. Students usually are very tired in the morning because they are up all night on their phone or tv. If students went to bed earlier, they would be less tired in the morning. They would also get the 8.5-9.5 recommended hours of sleep each night. Schools should not start later because it would cause many problems for students in before, during, and after school. According to Justin O’Neill, in his article, “Should School Start Later?” he states, ”Being on time, managing a busy schedule, and getting enough sleep are important skills teens need when they enter the workforce” (21). Students are going to have to get up early in the future for their job so, they will have to get use to waking up in the morning. This could send the wrong message to students about being responsible for themselves in the morning. If students have no experience in getting up early and getting there on time, they will be late for most of their life. Making room for all your work and other activities is hard. You have to develop a “routine” to help manage a busy schedule and get some sleeping time....

...Imagine if you could sleep for two more hours before having to leave for High School. Sounds like a hallelujah in the darkness! But what if it wasn’t? What if there were too many problems after school gets out? Chesterfield County is considering a time change for High Schools, and I must say that this is a terrible idea. Teens would just stay up later, they cannot take care of their younger siblings, and Specialty Center students or Marching Band students would not get home until five or seven PM. Teens would just have an excuse to stay up even later than they do now. The county may think teens would willingly sleep at the same time they do now, but the majority would just stay up hours later, whether or not they had a choice. Many...

...The American Dream Dreams can be big or small, sentimental or materialistic, from wanting five dollars to a nice car to world peace and everything in between. Everyone has dreams in life, they are what make the world turn, but only the person dreaming can put forth the effort to achieve that dream. I have a dream to become a cardiologist or heart doctor, which requires me to graduate high school, graduate college, and graduate from medical school. Although it won’t be easy, getting my high school diploma is the first major part of my dream in which I’ll need to get good grades, attend school, and give my best effort. Getting good grades is a key step to graduate high school. To do this I’ll need to attend school regularly and give my absolute best effort. I can do this by getting plenty of sleep, turning in all my homework, studying for every test and working my schedule around school. Even on those days where I’m feeling lazy or go hang out with my friends I’ll have to keep in mind the big picture and make sacrifices. All four years of high school will require every ounce of effort I possess, but in the end I know walking across that stage with a diploma in my hand, one step closer to my dream, it’ll be worth the sacrifices. In the next step, graduating college, I’ll need to be able to force myself to go to class, make the grades, and not get distracted by college life. During the college years it can be much easier to skip class and not do your work, considering you don’t...

...Stay at Home Moms -Breaking the Stereotypes 9/13/2015 In today’s society, no longer is it common for a woman to make the decision to stay at home and school her children. There was a time when this was far from taboo, but in the year 2015, stay at home mothers have found themselves in situations where they have to prove their worth. Women in the SAHMs (Stay at home mothers) community are labeled as lazy, are said to have it easy, are dumb, moochers, and many other stereo types. In all actuality the life of a SAHM is quite the contraire. In the 20th century the term “house wife” was more so used than the term Stay at home mom. Now, in the 21st century we changed that term because it seemed as if we knew nothing but the walls inside our homes. We are married to our husbands, not our houses. Women in the 1950’s rose to the term house wife and wore it proudly. During this time, the women who worked outside of the home were looked at as some scientific phenomenon that we didn't understand. The role of women in the 1950’s was repressive and constrictive in many ways. Society placed high importance and many expectations on behavior at home as well as in public. Women were supposed to fulfill certain roles, such as a caring mother, a diligent homemaker, and an obedient wife. The perfect mother was supposed to stay home and nurture so society would accept them. (R.C.2005) “Most of the time, when people ask, I tell them that I work from home. Technically this is true, because...

...Education: A Case Study of the Public Schools in the Abesim Circuit of the Sunyani Municipality Samuel Tieku Gyansah Lecturer, Centre for Continuing Education, University of Cape Coast, Ghana Gabriel Esilfie Lecturer, Centre for Continuing Education, University of Cape Coast, Ghana Agnes Atta Tutor, Methodist Primary School, Abesim, Ghana Abstract: This study is a case study that reveals that teacher absenteeism in the Abesim circuit was as a result of most teachers commuting long distances to their respective schools. Some of the teachers who were on the Distance Education programmes often left for their Study Centres in Sunyani, Kumasi, Accra, Cape Coast on Fridays thereby absenting themselves from school. A sample size of 50 was used for the study and the main sampling techniques was the simple random and purposive sampling methods. The circuit is made up of ten public basic schools in 3villages. The main tools for gathering data were questionnaires, interviews and observations. The statistical tool used in the analysis of the data included percentages derived from frequencies and these were presented in tables. Conclusions drawn were that teacher absenteeism in the Abesim circuit led to the teachers’ inability to complete syllabi, there were poor examination results and also excessive pressure on substitute teachers, etc. Some of the recommendations made are: school authorities should use regular attendance to school as one of the basis for promoting teachers...

...individuals as well as the whole community. Hence, some people argue that it is a good idea to force children to take a full-time program at school until they reach the age of eighteen. However, I just agree with this idea to some extent. To begin with, this suggestion is justified in some particular cases. With the fast pace of life and the mounting pressure from work, the majority of city dwellers are too busy to have enough time with their children. Hence, if their children stay at school during work hours under the supervisions and guidance from teachers, they can concentrate on their profession and maximize their productivity. In addition, the modern lifestyle with the popular use of the internet has some negative impacts on the formation of characters among children. Hence, staying at school seems to be a rational choice so that they can be educated and guides in the right direction. In fact, this policy has been applied in many western nations and it has proven its efficiency. In a recent survey, a large proportion of school children in Europe reported that the really enjoyed he time at school with many outdoor activities as well as lively lessons from enthusiastic teachers. It is also asserted that this proposal may contain several drawbacks. The first obstacle is that children may also learn a lot of important social skills if allowed to stay home and help their parents with housework. In some developing countries, children can build their sense do social responsibility by...

...When it comes to school, some kids believe that school should start later because it could improve their lack of focus. I believe that school should start at the same time in district 112 because it will help decrease the stress level of the students, they can still have after school activities, and the transportation will still be easy. Students work very hard in the afternoons. Spending many hours on homework. If we change the start time of school it will also change the end. Students won’t get out of school until 4p.m. If they have extracurricular activities such as volleyball, they will be up doing homework even later so they will still get the same amount of sleep as they would before.
