"We started out to get a computer in the hands of everyday people, and we succeeded beyond our wildest dreams."-Steve Jobs He was a visionary. A dreamer. A hopeless romantic who just wanted to make a difference. These were some of the characteristics of Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs started from the bottom. A drop out. After years of hardwork, together with Steve Wozniak, founded the iconic brand we know today as Apple. But somewhere along his journey, he was ousted by the company that he co-founded. Some say that it was because of his ego. A feature film about Jobs was released and it featured the life he lived. A vibrant life. It also featured the darker side of him as well. Steve Jobs is an epitome of a leader who contributed in the advancement of technology. He had great passion for product excellence. His strengths are so profound that it overpowered his failures. Yes, he is rude, unreasonable, even took credit for others. It is evident that he has a lot of letdowns but let us also remember that if he did not have all these strengths, It should have capsized him already and apple would not be where it is right now. He was the one who picked Apple up when it was at the brink of extinction. He was noted for his genuine innovations. His creation of the iPod portable digital audio player in 2001, an online marketplace called the Apple iTunes Store in 2003, the iPhone handset in 2007 and the iPad tablet computer in 2010. It has sold more than 300 million iPods, over 100 million iPhones and more than 15 million iPad devices. The company has sold billions of songs from its iTunes Store. Steve Jobs has been my role model. Like him, I have committed many mistakes and errors but it did not stop me from getting what I want. Being a member of the USG Legislative Branch is no joke. We must balance both academics and extra-curricular
