...Visitor I had never seen something so sad. The look on her old, but young face when the doctors told her the news. She always had this glow, barely any wrinkles, make up always done, hair died a crimson red to keep the grey from peeking its way through. She was beautiful, always was. This was my grandmother who had just been told she had stage four breast cancer. The treatments were pointless, they only caused more pain when they knew death was knocking on her front door. They made the promises of many years to come, as long as she continued with the treatments. Who knew doctors could lie so well? Not any of us, all oblivious to the fact that she wouldn't be here much longer. The promise of a couple more years was enough to keep our hopes high, maybe we wouldn't lose the woman we loved the most as soon as we thought. I was there through it all, the many doctor visits, the chemo, radiation. Through the hair and weight loss, the inability to finish writing a single sentence. The frail state her body took during the course of the awful disease, everything. My grandmother had always been so strong, no one could break her. The cancer managed to, it was over before it even started. The doctors promised years, who knew it would only be months? Filled with pain, and tears. Lets start from the beginning, shall we? It all started that Christmas in South Carolina with my uncle and three cousins. We just had moved back to Torrington, in with my grandparents. I guess she must have known it...

...A survey was conducted amongst ______ students to get their insights on smoking and also their personal experiences with it. We divided the questionnaire for smokers and non-smokers. We managed to get a total of 50 participants in which 60% were non-smokers and 40% were smokers. The questions regarding smoking facts were answered by both sides. Both smokers and non-smokers seem to have just a slight understanding on what smoking really does to the body and to those around them. Based on the findings, we recommend that students be exposed to the real dangers of smoking. We suggest exhibitions, competitions, talks or maybe even a health class. At one time, blacks were moved out of those same houses because they were deemed unlivable and were condemned. Needless to say, a lot of those houses were never condemned but, were boarded up for 1520 years until they were bought by contractors who renovated ...

Sea cucumbers are valued for their medicinal benefits and also as culinary delicacies and have traditionally utilized certain species of if (locally known as “gamat”) for their medicinal properties and traditional medicines processed from gamat are used in wound healing, treatment of stomach ulcers and as a painkiller (FAO 2004). As such, the product selected for the assignment is the Healin Gamogen, essentially gamat oil, and the country chosen for the product to be marketed to is the United States of America. Firstly, the company was founded by Prof. Dato' Dr. Hassan Yaacob who started his intensive scientific research and studies in Gamat at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine,University Malaya in1990 and after more than 10 years of R&D, Prof. Dato' Dr. Hassan Yaacob was able to commercialise the Gamat into Gamat based products under the brand name HEALIN and founded the company Hexagon Pharmaceuticals Sdn Bhd which would later be known as Healwell Pharmaceuticals Sdn Bhd (HEALIN 2007). It should be clarified that though the company offers numerous product derived from the aforementioned sea cucumbers, it is the food supplements namely the Gamogen that are chosen as a product to be marketed in the American market.
