1.1 Discuss models of Strategic change with reference to Macedonia. (AC 1.1: Discuss models of strategic change).

The Macedonia is located in Balkan Region and declared freedom in 1991.the population around 3 million. The country is starting to improve their economy and democratic environment with the goal to integration with European Union. Their system highly adopt to communism style and unemployment was very high. The country divided in too much variety by ethic, regional and religious and there were no democratic environment. Every place the communism style practiced and there is no way for new investment or development opportunities.

Lewin's Change Management Model

Unfreeze Stage
The Macedonia population segmented by ethically, politically and there was no leadership system practiced. The Macedonians life style is totally communism style and there was no support to government from them. They failed to improve the economy even they have low population. The lack of democratic practices and conflict resolution create an unstable situation in the country. The Macedonian Federation of Trade Union (CCM) start the transition from communist to democratic through its lost privilege connection to the government. Mr. Tim Lewis brought in as a partner by an organization-consulting firm under contract with Swiss Agency For Development And Corporation.
The CCM has to recognize the areas that need to change. The government is politically unstable and the development of economy was impossible with Macedonians. The behaviors, culture, lack of leadership, working style and overall interest of Macedonians with change strategy was very less. Macedonians did not show more interest for the change process. The Macedonians divided by more groups. The Macedonians stay with communism style because they do not realize the benefits. Moreover, how it can improve their life style.
The CCM must have more strong and positive reason to impress the Macedonians that can let them to participate in Change Management process. The interest has to improve with Macedonians that will increase the participant in change management.

Change Stage
The CCM need to have objectives that improving the life style, behaviors and awareness on benefit of change. This will motivate Macedonians and bring positive response to change process. CCM has to identify the basic needs of citizens by improve the communication style, required trainings, leadership coaching and opportunities. This can bring more innovation and new ideas from Macedonians. Implementing frequent communication system that can keep attached Macedonians with Process of change.
The CCM make sure that Macedonians really understand and have Clear awareness of required change. The CCM should bring more project and program that involving Macedonians and improving the relationship with each other’s. This can break the barriers of community and let everyone work together to have successful country. The labor education system should include management trainings and industrial training systems that can create more job opportunities.
Creating a labor education system that should improve the leadership skills and democratic practice. The behaviors and skills should improved in Macedonians and ability to participate with accept the change.
Refreeze Stage
The CCM should ensure barriers of change management must understand and ensure that the process has improve positively. Moreover, leadership training provided improved the skills of Macedonians and participate them in change management process. Introduce feedback system in every industry and place that can bring more ideas to sustain the change. The CCM should ensure that the skills and training enough to sustain the change in Overall Macedonia and will continue the improvement of economy, political system. Improvement in economy and leadership education let them to accept the changes and look for High quality living style. Make sure that ability to handle difficult situation and courage has to improve with this system.
